"A dragon doesn't concern itself with the opinions of sheep." ~ Kanye West San Francisco International Airport San Francisco, CA October 3rd, 2018 Off Camera
(Shinjiro stands in the waiting area. The area where people who do not have tickets and have not gone through TSA screening wait to pick up people who have just arrived. Shinjiro is dressed in a grey suit, while holding a boquet of Lillys, and looking very nervous. Shinjiro stands in a group of people who are waiting for others to arrive. Shinjiro flips his forearm and hand over and glances at his watch to check the time, and then quickly turns his gaze to the large clock hanging on the wall to confirm he has the correct time.
A large group of people appear at the end of the hallway. A buzz of excitment comes over the group of people waiting. Shinjiro can feel the change of emotions, and even shares in it as he begins to slight lift his 6'4" body up onto his tip toes to gets a better look at the crowd. As the group of travelers arrive, one by one they go to the person waiting for them. Shinjiro watches all the people come and find the person waiting for him, and then finally he sees her.
The woman he loves more than any other woman in this world. After all he has seen in his travles around the world, she is still the most beautiful woman he has ever seen, as well as the kindest, the most wise, and the most patient. This woman is holding herself up with a rolling bag. Her upperback is hunched over a fit from sitting down for so long on the flight in the uncomfortable seats. Her face shows lines from age and stress, but she is still a beautiful. Her eyes shine with the green of a rare Jade, and her hair is still black as night.
Shinjiro sees her, and she sees him. The two of them lock eyes and a large smile comes over Shinjiro's face. He greets her with a hug, and they kiss each others cheeks. After the long hug Shinjiro presents her with the flowers, and she takes them with a smile. Shinjiro takes her bag for her and greets her.)
Shinjiro: It is good to see you mother. How was your flight.
Mother: It is good to see you too Shinjiro, better than good, it is wonderful. The flight was ok, I'm getting a little old for those trips.
Shinjiro: Yeah, I know that nine and a half hours is a long time for you to be stuck in a seat.
Mother: It was for your father too. Do you know why he quit coming to America to wrestle?
Shinjiro: He never went into detail as too why. I know that after our run in WWO as tag team was over he just said he was done coming to America. I knew better than to pry and try to convenience him otherwise.
Mother: It was the travel.
Shinjio: Hahaha.
Mother: You laugh, but it is the truth. He hated that flight, and if he had to go to the East Coast it was even worse. When he came home from New York that last time with you, he threw his bags down and said he was never going back. I asked him if he was upset with his pay, or that you two lost, or what it was. He said he would rather retire then make that flight again.
Shinjiro: Well that does explain quite a bit. Unfortunately we have to fly out to Vegas on Friday.
Mother: Oh, I am already dreading that.
Shinjiro: Well, this time it is only an hour and half.
Mother: What if we were to drive? At least then we can stop frequently, and roll the windows down and feel nature on us.
Shinjiro: I'm not sure, but it is at least nine hours.
Mother: Nine hours?
(Shinjiro stops walking and pulls his phone out of his pocket. He quickly pulls up directions from his apratment to Nellis Air Force Base. Shinjiro laughs a bit to himself as he gets the results. Shinjiro looks up with with a laugh in his voice says, "nine hourse and fifty two minutes, without traffic".)
Mother: A flight it is then.
("As you wish" Shinjiro says with a laugh and places the phone back into his pocket. The two begin walking again.)
Shinjiro: I am very honored that you have came to watch my match, but are you sure everything will be ok back home with Rising Sun?
Mother: Oh yes, HIro can handle things for a couple of weeks. Besides, I need to see how he does running things without me around.
Shinjiro: How he does running things.
Mother: Yes... let's sit down for a moment.
(A serious tone comes through his mothers voice as she suggests them sitting down. Shinjiro and his mother take a seat on a nearby bench. Shinjiro becomes a bit concerned and curious as his mother face and tone becomes very serious.)
Mother: I am planning on selling the company to Hiro. Your brother has discovered a love for working in the office, and has stepped away from the ring to help me. He is doing a very good job and has expressed an interest in taking over if I ever wanted to retire.
Shinjiro: Hiro? My brother? "The Iron Dragon" Hiro Yamamoto... he has stepped out of the ring and into the office? I didn't believe that would ever happen.
Mother: You are no more shocked then I am. But, yes it is true. He saw how much work it was for me alone, and didn't want to leave the business your grandfather started to someone else to come in, so he began helping me. At first he tried to balance both the ring and the office, but when you try to master to crafts, you can never truly dedicate yourself to one. So, he stepped away from the ring and has been helping me with the front office work since shortly after you returned to America.
Shinjiro: Wow... I... I never could have imagined that.
Mother: Shinjiro, I want to make sure it is ok with you if I sell out to your brother. You would still have your share of the company that your father left you, but with the part Hiro was left and the part he would purchase from me, he would be majority owner and have final word over everything. I want to make sure this will not drive a wedge between you two.
Shinjiro: Mother, nothing will ever break my bond with Hiro. If he wants to take over the family business, and you think it is a wise decision, than I am perfectly fine with that. I have many years ahead of me in the ring, and at this point cannot even contemplate taking an office position. Right now my sights are set on the Honor Legacy championship and nothing else.
(Shinjiros mother smiles, and her face lights up.)
Mother: Good. I love my boys, and I would never want anything to come between you two. Now, let's get out of here and get some fresh air.
(Shinjiro and his Mother stand up and begin walking down the hallway again as the scene fades out.)
(The screen is black, "My Spirit Will Go On" by Dragon Force begins to play cutting through the darkness. A video begins to play. The first clip is Shinjiro Yamamoto's first match in Honor Wrestling, and him dropping Blasted Monk with the flamming death.)
Life is a misery, don't know how it's come to be Death, the epitome of all of our days In the past we had no choice to hear or to be the voice Close your eyes and visualize the demon to arise
(Next we see Shinjiro pinning Alex Reigns in the first ever Warriors Brawl match at the Kingdom of Hawaii Pay per view. For the first time ever Shinjiro riases the Legacy championship abot his head, becoming the first ever Legacy champion. That clip fades into a clip from the first ever episode of Pride Tag Team, where Shinjiro and his partner Tatsu Ikeda defeat Mark Storm and Mrs Right)
You know that sanity is not as it was meant to be And now that misery has taken a new stand In the land of a thousand souls we will carry on through the rain In the sun we will move along with the memories of the slain When I see this humanity and the evil that they have come to be We've come to the point of no return and you beg for just...
(A clip of Shinjiro volunteering to enter first into the first ever Mayhem Survival is shown. Then clips of Shinjiro eliminating several peope. This clip transitions into Shinjiro teaming with Alex Reigns, and defeating Ace Marshall and Duke Andrews, after Shinjiro hits Ace Marshall with the Flaming Death.)
One more time to escape from all this madness One more time to be set free from all this sadness And one last time to be the one who understands My soul and my spirit will go on, for all of eternity
(Next we see a highlight from the first ever Zero Hour where Shinjiro pins Alex Reigns to retain his championship. This fades into Shinjiro being attacked by the Joker, and then a wild match between Joker and Shinjiro where Shinjiro wins via disqualification.)
Foreign the currency, your payment in blood to be Death is the destiny for all of our ways In the dark you hide away for who or what you can't say When I see the power of the demon come alive
(Shinjiro teams with Alicia Lukas and the two Legacy champions defeat Blasted Monk and Lotoya Hixx, after Shinjiro once again makes Blasted Monk suffer a flaming death. The clip transitions to Shinjiro beating The Joker by TKO in a vicious no holds barred match.)
You know that sanity is not as it was meant to be And now that misery has taken a new stand On the wings of eagles flying staring on to the sun Reaching for the gold horizon when the war shall be won Can you see the debauchery and the blade of death that has come for thee In winds of torment forever more you will cry for just...
(The clip changes to Shinjiro losing the Legacy Championship to Mickey Carrol.)
One more time to escape from all this madness...
(The video then goes into fast forward, showing Shinjiro's big return, him eliminating Mercedes Vargas and Kevin Hunter, Shinjiro eliminating Space Lord from Mayhem Survival, Shinjiro and Equinox defeating the Dragon Slayers as Shinjiro makes Sam Steele submit, and then ends with Shinjiro and Equinox starring each other down as Equinox holds the Legacy championship.)
(The video fades to black and the music fades out. Darkness once again takes over.)
Niles Air Force Base Las Vegas, NV October, 12th 2018 On Camera
(The Camera fades in to show Shinjiro Yamamoto standing in a fan experience exhibit set up for fans to tour the weekend of Zero Hour 2. Shinjiro stands at a wall that shows a photo of him holding the Legacy championship after becoming the first every winner of Warriors Brawl, and more importantly the first ever Legacy Champion.
Shinjiro stands alone, and is dressed down in a pair of jeans and a "Iron Dragon" t-shirt, showing support for his brother. He stands alone as the exhibit has closed for the day to the public. This is the first time Shinjiro has got to view the exhibit and has been taking in the history of Honor Wrestling. Without looking away from the photo, Shinjiro begins to speak.)
Shinjiro: I am forever tied to the history of this great company. The first Legacy champion, the first Warriors Brawl winner, the first man to enter the first Mayhem survival, and after Zero Hour it appears I will be the last Legacy champion under the banner of Honor Wrestling. All anyone has been talking about all week is the merger with Sin City Wrestling, but right now I refuse to even think about that. Right now I am focused on one thing and one thing only.
(Shinjiro turns around to face the camera and his eyes are alive with his trademark fiery spark.)
Shinjiro: I am focused on you Equinox, and I am focused on reclaiming the Legacy championship. I put that championship on the map, and through that helped put Honor Wrestling on the map. People want to question my run as Legacy champion, but those people forget that I was going out every week and actively seeking challengers. They forget that I was willing to put the title on the line against anyone and everyone. They forget that I laid down challenges to the Honor Champions at the time, Kevin Hunter and Samantha Tolson to face me in a test of skill to prove who was better, but neither stepped into the ring with me. People forget my brutal battles with Thomas "The Joker" Miller. In short.... people have forgot about the Golden Dragon.
I came back and picked up right where I left off, to remind people of just who the Golden Dragon is and just how big of a threat he is. I have victored over both Kevin Hunter and Mercedas Vargas, I came within a hair of winning Mayhem survival, I tapped out Kevin Hunter's lacky Sam Steele, and I have been more than willing to step into the ring with anyone. Just like my last run in Honor though, no one rushes to compete against me. I haven't seen anyone line up to sign on the dotted line and step into the ring with me.
You though Equinox, you are brave enough, you are honorable enough, and you are man enough to step into the ring with me. You have even agreed to do more than just step into the ring, you have agreed to go a minimum of thirty minutes with me and put the Legacy championship on the line. This shows your true honor, it shows your true integrity, and it also shows your fighting spirit.
(Shinjiro turns and begins walking down the hallway of the exhibit. More photos and monuments to the history of Honor Wrestling line the wall, and Shinjiro stops in front of another photo of himself and Alicia Lukas standing in the ring together with their arms raised and each holding their Legacy championships. Shinjiro once again turns his back to the camera as he stares at the giant photo.)
Shinjiro: Equinox, that Legacy championship you currently hold means more to me than any other prize in the sport of wrestling. It isn't the biggest championship in Honor Wrestling, and I know it isn't your fault, but when I was champion it was the most coveted championship in all of Honor Wrestling.
I want to reclaim that championship from you, and I want to restore it to the glory it once knew, because restoring it will restore me. I left sad and defeated morning the loss of my father and then added the loss of my championship on top of it. I returned to Honor Wrestling like a Phoenix from the ashes and I am on a mission to restore my name, restore my honor, and restore my LEGACY!
Look at the heights Alicia Lukas has soared too in Honor Wrestling and the wrestling world in general. I am very proud of her, but I must admit I am a bit envious. Do not, misconstrue what I say, she deserves everything she has, she earned every bit of it. I am envious that she was able to stay the course and prove herself. I on the other hand, crumbled at the loss of my father, fell into depression, and along the way lost my glory, my honor, and my championship.
(Shinjiro turns around, his brows now slanted down as his face wears a mask that is a mix of anger and determination.)
Shinjiro: I am done losing. I have earned my shot at you Equinox and I will do everything I can to reclaim that Legacy championship. You are a great competitor, but at Zero Hour you better be at the top of your game, because you are going to receive everything I have and everything I can give. I will fight until my last breath if that is what it takes. I will also fight until your last breath if that is what it comes to.
I respect you Equinox, I believe you are a great competitor and a greater fighter. So, do not take it personal when I choke you out and/or knock you out. Dragon stretch, or flaming death, and if need be then both. I will pour both moves, and every other move, and every ounce of myself into defeating you. I don't care if I do it by one fall or by one hundred, all I care about is defeating you and reclaiming the Legacy championship.
Equinox, you have done a good job as champion, and it was an honor to fight along side of you, and now it will be an honor to fight you. I will fight you with honor, and I will test my skills against yours, I will fight fair, but I will fight hard. I will fight harder then I have ever fought in my life. I will pull no punches, I will show no mercy, and I will give you every last drop of fight and heart that I have. All I ask of you Equinox... is that you do the same.
(Shinjiro once again begins walking down the hall way, and only has to take a few short steps before he gets to a large photo of Mickey Carroll submitting Shinjiro to win the Legacy Championship. Shinjiro turns to stare at the photo. Shinjiros head drops in shame and disappointment as he hands grip the railing that separates the path and the large photos.
The sound of flesh tightly gripping wood is heard. Shinjiro's knuckles turn white as his hands tightly grip the wood. Shinjiro quickly spins around and looks into the camera with the fire burning bright in his eyes.)
Shinjiro: I was the first Honor Wrestling Legacy champion, and I will be the last Honor Wrestling Legacy champion. I do not know everything that the future holds, but I do know that I will take the Legacy championship from you if it is the last thing I ever do in a ring... even if it is the last thing I do in life. I will fight you till my last breath.
I have only given up once in this sport in my entire life, and you can see it on display for the world right behind me. I can promise the Honor fans, I can promise the Honor staff, and I promise you Equinox... I will never give up again. I will pour all of myself into this match, and leave absolutely nothing in reserve, I will leave it all out there in the middle of the ring.
My reward for doing that? Self respect, restoring honor to mine and my families name, and of course the Legacy championship.
With merger talks the future of Honor Wrestling is uncertain, but I can tell you one thing that is absolutely and unquestionable true, and that is that "The Golden Dragon" Shinjiro Yamamotto will be leaving Las Vegas as the Honor Wrestling Legacy champion.
Give me your best Equinox, because you are going to receive mine. Fight me with honor. Go toe to toe with me. Go hold for hold with me. Test yourself skills against mine. At the end of the night though, when it is my hand that is raised in victory, then look me in the eye and shake my hand like the great competitor I know that you are. I respect you Equinox, but that will not save you from suffering the gruesome fate that so many before you have suffered. Great warrior, great honor, great competitor, in the end you will suffer a flaming death.
(Shinjiro walks away down the hall. The camera focuses on the picture of Shinjiro and Mickey Carroll and then fades out.)
