You can't do that.
I have heard those words all of my life. From my mother, to my cousin, to my former employer. People telling me that I can't do something I set my mind to is just wrong. No matter what you go through in life, always you believe that you can do anything you set your mind to if you allow the negative to just flow off of you like rain water to a rock. Over the past three years I have had to learn that. Especially while trying to get sober from the booze. I heard those words echoing from my head as I would talk in my meetings. I would feel the heartache as I gained closure from the pain that was caused to me by someone who I thought loved me for me. Now? Now I step into a world where those words will come back from the grave to bite me in the ass if I allow it.
You won't make it out of the fire alive girl....
My mother specifically told me that once. That day was as two bullies had me down on the ground in my own front yard and my mother rooted for the bullies. My mother was never my biggest fan. My father died when I was only five to cancer and I was all alone. I fended for myself pretty well don't ya think? I have been through my rough times, and I have made my mistakes. All people make mistakes, but it is how you get up and dust yourself off to move forward that makes you the person you are today. The one word I use to define myself today is strong. I have been forged in that fire to someone that people need to fear.
Death will come upon you earlier rather than later.
This is what my own mother told me when I was dating Aaron. She never really approved of him, but when did my mother ever approve of anything ya know? She was always busy being a drunken whore who would spread her legs for a twenty dollar bill and some food. My mother also poisoned my food once to make sure that I would never be around to learn the lessons I needed to learn. Now? Now I fight for those girls who never would have a chance to do something like me. I fight to prove to myself that death is nothing more than a word and that I can live in the aura of life.
In many different aspects, life gives you different auras to live under. The aura of temptation brings things like money, drugs, booze and greed. The aura of lust for one another is always going to be in and out of the wrestling world. The aura of being at the top of your game is something that most people strive for and if they don't, then they will always be at the bottom of the totem poll in this sport.
What am I? I am the aura of desire. The desire to be your very best. The desire to make sure you go the distance. I am the aura of passion. The passion I have for life and this business now rivals no other. Who am I? I am the woman that will make sure to take you to your limits. Win, lose or draw I will give it my all. My name is Anna, but I will be the aura of defeat for most in Honor Wrestling. I am not that little girl anymore. I will not cower in fear and I will not bow down to the will of anyone. Make notes because I am all grown up and I will have much to show for the things I have learned.
