Kickoff Preshow
Marissa: Hello everyone, I’m Marissa Henry along with Sai Basu as we present Honor Wrestling’s Warzone PPV.
Sai: A total of 16 matches between Honor and Northern Lights. One of the biggest cards ever for the company.
Marissa: The fans are in for a great night of wrestling for sure… With Sai and myself we have Head MD, Dr. Weaver and head referee of Northern Lights, Ryan Richards.
Dr. Weaver: Hello, Honor to be a part of this kickoff show panel.
Ryan: Same here, I’m excited for tonight.
Marissa: Well, Sai so much happened last week in Northern Lights. Where do we even start?
Sai: So many moments to choose from, the men climbing up the ranks to get to Jerry Cann and Stewart Mason going one on one for the Avalanche Championship.
Marissa: Right here on the kickoff show, we will see Mz Holly Wood taking on Ethan McBride in a showcase that Tad Ezra will definitely be paying close attention to.
Sai: We will also see a triple threat in the form of our masked luchador, Ahuevo, taking on our resident bartender, Rory Rockefeller, and Kader Hasheem, who has been on a tear lately.
Marissa: Then we will see our first championship match of the night when Eric Weaver and Mickey Carroll defend their Pride Hardcore Tag Team Championships against any two roster members who are willing to come forward.
Sai: Then, Big Match John Blade takes on Jeremiah Hardin in a true battle of supremacy. If John Blade wins, he will join the Honor Championship match later in the evening.
Marissa: Next up, we will have Kate Steele taking on one of Honor’s most controversial signees as of late, Delia Darling.
Sai: No need to laugh, Marissa. Darling is a huge deal. Following that act, we will see Tapido Delavega taking on newcomer Dylan Bloom.
Marissa: Following that action, Char Kwan returns to action to face off against a woman who is looking so much different as of late, Latoya Hixx.
Sai: Then, a grudge match that developed on Pride last week when Jacob Johnson interrupted the clusterfff… clustered segment that was supposed to start off as an interview with Caleb Storms, and got a Superkick for his troubles.
Marissa: Will the battle between Mrs. Right and Crystal Hilton finally come to a head, or will the addition of Cindy Warren in triple threat action just fan the flames of this budding rivalry?
Sai: The action heats up as we find out why inside a Hell in a Cell where Tim Staggs comes face to face with Earl Lockyer in a showdown that has been waiting nearly 2 months to happen. Someone is going to the hospital when this one is done.
Marissa: Following that hellish battle, we will see the crowning moment for Northern Lights Wrestling’s first Avalanche Champion as Stewart Mason goes one on one against Jerry Cann in the finals of the tournament.
Sai: Speaking of heating up with Northern Lights action, our Main Event features seven women, and any of them would make Tad proud to carry the belt.
Marissa: The Honor Championships are on The line in brutal matches when Mercedes Vargas defends her belt against Dahlia Rotten in a No Disqualifications match. Dahlia won the right to face Mercedes, and she has been on a tear lately.
Sai: Then, Bad Boys member Daxton Oliver Beckett-Carroll? That is a mouthful… takes on Alex Jones, arguably the single most dominant Honor Champion in the history of Honor Wrestling… in a Tables Match. This match has all of the makings of an edge-of-your-seat battle, rivaled only by their female counterparts.
Marissa: The Legacy Champions will co-Main Event this show with the men going first. Blasted Monk will take on Travis Blake in a rematch from the last Showdown where Monk nearly took home the Legacy Championship, only to refuse to let go of his hold on Travis, getting disqualified in the process. Now we will see the title defended in Travis’ favorite match type, Buried Alive.
Sai: As if it couldn't get any more exciting than that, we found a way to make it so. Closing out the show, we will see Alicia Lukas defending her Legacy Championship against, not one, not two, but three worthy competitors… in a Ladder Match. Tatsu Ikeda, Winter Elemental, and Jessie Salco will aim to climb the ladder to success, as well as the Legacy Championship, but Alicia will obviously have a lot to say about that.
Marissa: Speaking of all these matches. Why don’t we take it to ringside and get started with the first pre-show match up?
Sai: I was thinking the same thing, Marissa.
Marissa: Well let's go to ringside with Northern Lights very one Arnaud and Nora Nadeau.
Cameras switch over to ringside
Liam: The following Northern Lights Wrestling match is scheduled for one fall…
"Hollywood" by Collective blasts over the sound system as a pink shadow box appears through the curtains. The silhouette of a lovely lady dancing is seen from the inside, seducing the crowd with her feminine wiles. It comes to rest at the edge of the stage, and after a moment, the lady inside kicks her way through the thin paper to reveal... Holly Wood! Mz. Wood if you nasty.
Liam: Iiiiintroducing first… from West Hollywood, California, standing at 6’ and weighing in at 165lb, she is… Mz Holly Wooooooooood!!!
She flips her blonde hair over her shoulder as she raises her arms in the air, loosening her hips before sashaying down the ramp. She climbs onto the apron, swaying her hips back and forth as she lowers herself down into a split position. She crawls under the ropes and does a sexy pose on the mat before leaping up, dancing around the ring to the music as she waits for her opponent.
Liam: Aaaaand her opponent, from Chicago, IL standing at 6’3” and weighing in at 255lb, he is… “Judge, Jury, Executioner” Eeeeeeeeeeethan McBriiiiiiiiiiiide!!!
"I Don't Care" by Apocalyptica begins to blare through the arena as Ethan McBride emerges from the back with a slow, methodical pace glaring with smug, dirty looks at the fans as he makes his way to the ring. He slides in under the bottom rope and gives Holly a look of disgust before mercilessly pummeling her.
Ding! Ding! Ding!
Nora: Ethan doesn’t look too happy about this match, eh? He blasts our resident female impersonator with a barrage of punches, backing the smaller competitor into the corner as Holly shields herself.
Arnaud: Holly blocks the best that she can, but Ethan seems to be getting the better of her, backing her down into the corner and down into the ground. Ethan begins stomping as referee Dylan Roberts pulls him back, admonishing his behavior.
Nora: Ethan tries to move past him, but he orders Ethan to give him some space as Holly uses the ropes to pull herself up to her feet. One thing can be said for this drag queen, Henny… she’s got some fight in her.
Arnaud: Holly waves Ethan forward, and Dylan steps out of the way, allowing Ethan to charge at her one more time, but Holly sidesteps Ethan, causing him to collide with the corner. Holly climbs the turnbuckle and begins laying in a series of punches of her own. Ethan climbs up and wraps a fist around Holly’s neck as they go to the top rope. He lifts Holly up for a Chokeslam, but Holly maneuvers herself up onto his shoulders, landing a picture perfect Frankensteiner!
Nora: The crowd is going crazy for Holly as she struts around the ring, showing off for her adoring fans. She blows them all kisses before turning back around. As Ethan gets up to his feet, Holly hits a Chick Kick, immediately followed by a Legsweep that takes Ethan down to the mat. Holly goes for the pin in a quite procurious manner…
1!
2!
Kickout!
Arnaud: Holly gets up and slaps Ethan across the face. She bounces off of the ropes as Ethan ducks a clothesline, wrapping his arms around in a waistlock. Holly blushes and begins grinding her hips as she holds onto Ethan’s wrists. He tries to break free, but only accomplishes this as Holly swings around and grinds further, letting out a cute laugh as Ethan elbows Holly in the face. He comes back around, and Holly brings his face down into her bosom for a Breast Smother!
Nora: The crowd and even Dylan Roberts is laughing at this. Ethan growls in anger as Holly dodges the Clothesline. She does a Handspring, bouncing back off with an elbow to Ethan’s face. With him on the ground, she jumps up onto the top rope, wasting no time in coming off with the Sashay Away (Shining Star Press!) She hooks the leg.
1!
2!
3!
Ding! Ding! Ding!
Liam: Heeeeeeere is your winner… Mz. Holly Wood!!!
Arnaud: An amazing victory from Mz. Holly Wood to kick off the action on the kickoff show. She is celebrating as she blows Ethan a kiss. “Hollywood” by Collective Soul blaring through the arena as Holly makes her way around the ring to celebrate with the fans.
Nora: Back to Marissa, Sai, Weaver, and Richards in the broadcast booth.
Dr. Weaver: Thank you, Nora and Arnaud.
Ryan: That match is a good example of how a referee has to assert themselves in not just Northern Lights Wrestling, but Honor Wrestling as well. There are such big personalities on this card, so our team is going to have a very hard time, but we are more than capable of doing just that this evening.
Marissa: That is an interesting train of thought. This isn’t the first time that we’ve seen Dylan Roberts asserting himself during the matches he has officiated. Just last week, with Kader Hasheem, he found himself in an even more rocky place where he almost had to get physical.
Ryan: It was quite an interesting predicament, but Dylan does not play around inside of the ring.
Marissa: Neither do you, from what we’ve seen. You actually made the call two weeks ago that saw Jerry Cann advance to the second round tournament despite not having executed the… Dick Punch… for a third time.
Sai: Oh, don’t even mention the Dick Punch to me right now.
Ryan: Word on the streets is that you received one off-screen last week, kicking off the whole DIck Punch City tour that “Shorty” Devin Tyler has gone on since his loss to Jerry Cann.
Sai: I can neither confirm nor deny these accusations, Ryan. But, let’s just say that if I were a resident of Dick Punch City, you would be to blame. Don’t you think that he has a point in the tear he’s gone on?
Marissa: I absolutely can see his argument. He has every right to be in a Triple Threat tonight for the Avalanche Championship.
Ryan: First of all, he truly does not. I was trying to be nice to Shorty, but I should have disqualified him after the first Dick Punch he gave to Jerry. I was lenient, and he took advantage of my kindness. Jerry’s hustle was strong in that match, but I wouldn’t have changed my decision, even knowing what I know now.
Dr. Weaver: We all know how critical a low blow can be to any competitor, male or female. I can see Ryan’s point of view due to the tenderness of said area.
Sai: Dick Punch?
Dr. Weaver: Yes, the “Dick Punch”. There is a reason it is an illegal maneuver. I don’t really need to explain that to you guys, do I?
Marissa: No, I think we have a clear understanding. Now, speaking of Jerry Cann… He will be taking on Stewart Mason to crown the first ever men’s Avalanche Champion. This will be a historical moment.
Sai: I couldn’t agree more. Jerry Cann has proved that he can play the mind games, and Stewart has proven that he can overcome any obstacle we’ve thrown his way. This match could go either way, honestly.
Dr. Weaver: Dr. Gracie S. has stated to me that Stewart Mason came close to hyperextending the arm of Rory Rockefeller on the first episode of Avalanche. Rory was barely cleared to wrestle Ahuevo last week. Stewart is a violent competitor with little to no regard for the opposition.
Ryan: But doesn’t it say something when Jerry Cann tricked me into giving him a victory with next to no work? He could very easily outsmart Stewart Mason and become our first Avalanche Champion. I’m calling it.
Marissa: Throwing Shorty in as a referee would definitely tip the balance in Stewart’s favor, I would think. Shorty has it out for Jerry Cann.
Sai: And anyone he deems to be an asshole. Stewart is a bit of an asshole… We may see him getting Dick Punched too, evening the odds.
Marissa: Speaking of odds, we will see the first Avalanche Champion crowned on the women’s side in a Battle Royal. Eight women inside of one ring. This promises to be a must-see on a show where the ladies are stealing the spotlight left and right.
Ryan: As one of three referees calling this match, I must say that I’m looking very forward to this match. It’s going to be chaotic, but it will be well worth it. If everything goes right, then the new champion will stand tall about the rest.
Marissa: I have my opinions on who stands the best chance of winning this match, but I’m curious to see who you guys think will emerge as the champion.
Dr. Weaver: Well, a match like this, with so many competitors, the risk of injury is so much higher. The chance that a move could land wrong, or a competitor could be tossed out and land wrong is exponentially higher than some of the other matches that we will see tonight. I’m looking at this as the more experienced competitor will win. I’m going with Chanelle Martinez.
Ryan: I could see that. But you also can’t count out the rookies like Queen of Apathy or Shelby Holt. Apathy has been flying just enough under the radar but possesses the skill to pull off a victory. Shelby Holt was bred to be a wrestler, it’s in her blood. She could easily walk away with the win.
Sai: Do not discount Ivory Sullivan or Melissa Ruin. Or Kinley Carlisle for that matter. Kinley has flown just as much under the radar since the debut of Avalanche. Melissa is the sister of Debbi and Stacy Ruin, and Tad Ezra would not have hired her if she didn’t have the ability to be a champion. And Ivory Sullivan Superkicked a set of interns. She’s got guts. She’s got moxy. I wouldn’t be surprised if she won.
Marissa: Am I the only person who doesn’t see Celeste North as the obvious choice to win? She is among a select few who have not lost a match since starting in Northern Lights Wrestling. She is a former Sin City Wrestling Bombshell Roulette Champion who trained in Staggs Dungeon. She is the daughter of Rock Goddess Crystalline North. She was practically molded to be in the spotlight. Hands down, she is the favorite to win. Argument over.
Sai: While I see your point to a degree, she did not get one over on Shelby Holt, who is supposedly so green. It should have been easier for her to add Shelby to that list of victims, but she didn’t. It’s almost as if we saw fear in her eyes.
Ryan: Melissa Ruins signing was a huge deal for Northern Lights, and I think it shows a strong relationship with our parent company. She’s a Ruins sister, so clearly she’s got what it takes to not only win the Avalanche Championship, but she could hold onto it for a very, very, very long time…
Marissa: Speaking of the Ruins Sisters, Honor Wrestling has offered up a plethora of exciting matches this evening. We just received word about thirty minutes ago that Debbi and Stacy Ruins will be facing off with Eric Weaver and Mickey Carroll for the Pride Hardcore Tag Team Championships.
Sai: The implications of this Empty Arena Match are very serious. Mickey Carroll has been the champion since the last Pride show of 2017. He has grown accustomed to the scene. Eric Weaver has done plenty of grueling matches in his time, but my concern is the Ruins Sisters. Stacy was put out late last year when she suffered a concussion at the hands of Earl Lockyer in a basic wrestling match. Does the frailty play any part in this matchup?
Dr. Weaver: I think you have a point. Stacy was injured not that long ago, and she had to miss several shows because of it. A Big Boot does not even compare to the possibility of a steel chair, or Mickey’s favorite decorated Baseball Bat. If Debbi and Stacy want a shot at winning this match, they are going to have to make sure that they strike first, and guard their heads.
Ryan: It’s a Hardcore match. That right there evens the odds as far as I’m concerned. The Ruins Sisters are no strangers to using their underdog status to move up the card. It’s about time that they place some gold around their waists.
Sai: No offense to the Ruins Sisters, but I don’t see them pulling this one off. When the open challenge was issued, I think the fans groaned a little. There were so many other options, such as Crystal Hilton and Stephanie Sullivan of the Motor City Maidens, or John Blade and Latoya Hixx, or literally any… body… else. The Ruins Sisters have a lot of fight in them, but Mickey is a long time ring veteran, and Eric Weaver has great knowledge of the sport.
Marissa: I hate to agree with Sai, at least to a degree. Debbi and Stacy will bring the fight, but it might not be quite enough to secure the win. I’m going with Bad Weaves. Can we get that hashtag going?
Sai: No… Just no… But, speaking of Mickey Carroll, did we really see him leave the Bad Boys? How can this be?
Dr. Weaver: Mickey and Eyesnsane had a little battle of their own which landed added to the injury sustained by Eyesnsane. He has not authorized us to talk about his injury, and with HIPAA Laws, we will see him out for the time being.
Marissa: If you add this to the fact that Mickey not only ran off with the titles, but he ran off with the man who has vowed to disassemble the Bad Boys. It was a blatant betrayal to his teammates and his husband. The world is shocked by this turn of events, but it has made for a very interesting series of matches this evening.
Sai: Speaking of Dax, the action will be hot tonight. Dax challenges Alex Jones for the Honor Championship. Talk about a sequel that we’ve been dying to see!
Marissa: Alex Jones emerged from Fallout victorious over Dax Beckett. It seems pretty cut and dry that Alex will once again walk out as the champion.
Ryan: You have to take into account the match type. It’s a Tables Match. While skill does play a factor, luck and timing are bigger. I’m not saying that Dax Beckett isn’t talented, but this would be the prime opportunity for him to dethrone Alex Jones. He’s got momentum moving forward.
Sai: It’s true. But we can’t forget the possibility that John Blade will get added to the match should he defeat Jeremiah Hardin earlier in the night. He very well could pull off the win, and he could be the wildcard in this match. If it’s a triple threat, I would put my money on John Blade for the monumental upset.
Marissa: I maintain my vote of Alex Jones, whether it is one-on-one or a triple threat. Alex has been a very dominant champion, and I just don’t see his reign being over yet.
Dr. Weaver: Considering the possibility of dual match exhaustion for John Blade, and the emotionally induced adrenaline rush Dax Beckett is bound to have from recent events, I would say that statistically, Dax stands the greater chance of winning, but that is just my opinion.
Marissa: What say you about the red-headed step child of the Bad Boys, Tim Staggs. He will be taking on Earl Lockyer in a Hell in a Cell match. It is not often that Honor Wrestling pulls the Cell out of storage, but I couldn’t think of a more fitting occasion to do just that.
Ryan: You know this match is serious when they appoint a doctor to be a referee. This isn’t something you see because that means that Dr. Green has had to become certified to referee in a professional wrestling match. It’s not easy to become a referee. I wonder if they got a two-for-one deal by sending Green and Shorty through it at the same time.
Dr. Weaver: Talk about implications. I would not have trusted anyone other than Dr. Green to referee this match. The lengths that these two men will go through to put the other down will be very dangerous. Some have said that Honor Wrestling is encouraging the brutality by forcing the match to stop only once either man is unable to continue, but honestly, they have done these two a favor… they’ve done their careers a favor. I have personally held two beds at separate ends of the UPMC Mercy Hospital. That’s how serious this battle will be.
Marissa: It has been said that their hatred for one another hardly seems warranted for the Cell, but I see it very differently. Earl Lockyer has gone above and beyond, taking on every single Bad Boy shy of Erik Staggs himself. He has defeated or taken out each of them in his own right, and he has refused to back down at any given point.
Sai: Earl is a man on a mission, and Tim has stayed back as long as he could. As a matter of fact, up until Dax Beckett had the win secured for the Bad Boys last week, Tim refused to get inside of the ring when Earl was tagged in. Dax barely made it out with the titles. It was clear that Tim had been playing mind games with Earl all along, publicly stating that he was scared, only to swoop in at the last minute and steal the win from his own tag team partner.
Marissa: I… don’t think that was all an act. I think Tim saw what Earl was doing to his buddies, and he staved off the attack as long as he could. Once he saw a chance to assert his dominance, he literally jumped on it. For that reason, I firmly believe that Earl will win this match.
Dr. Weaver: I am split because whether Tim truly meant to or not, he has gotten inside of Earl’s head. That’s a dangerous position to be in. But, Tim comes from a line of wrestlers who have mastered mind games. Now, the level of hatred that Earl has for Tim, and his… predisposition… as in his penchant for chaos and pain… Earl could very well end Tim’s career very quickly in this No Disqualification match. Despite the cell, the turnbuckles, or whatever goodies might have found their way under the ring, the most dangerous weapons will be their own bodies, so I’m split.
Ryan: Tim Staggs is inside of Earl’s head, and he’s not missing a step. He’s been pushing his buttons from the second Earl showed them to him. He will continue to play Earl like a puppet, and he will win this match. I’m calling it right now. Tim Staggs will win.
Marissa: Well, it’s that time again to move down to the ring for Northern Lights Wrestling’s second match of the night. Nora and Arnaud, please take it away.
Liam: The following Triple Threat contest is scheduled for one fall. Iiiiiiiiiiiiintroducing first, from Chicago, IL standing at 6’4” and weighing in at 265lb, he is… Rrrrrrrory “Rocky” Rockefellllller!!!
"Drink Drank Drunk" by HELLYEAH starts playing as Rory comes through the curtains carrying a cocktail shaker, mixing it up. He walks along the aisle, looking for outreached cups that he pours little bits of his signature drink into their cups. After making his way around the ring, Rory sets the shaker down on the ring steps as he runs up the steps. Rory gets halfway in the ring before rocking out to his theme music. He steps inside all the way and holds his fists in the air and walks around waiting for his opponents.
Liam: Aaaaaand his opponent… from South of the Border, standing at 5’8” and weighing in at 177lb, he is… “Senor Hell Yeah” Aaaaahuevoooo!!!
“Sueltate y Toma” by Reggae Black begins playing over the speakers when a red light shines from behind the curtains. As they open, the figure of Ahuevo is seen standing there. He bounces around to the beat of the music. He charges down the ramp, and as he makes it to the ring, he leaps through with a somersault, kneeling on one knee in the ring. He looks out to the crowd, pointing across them all in a circle. He then runs up the turnbuckle and does a flip off of it, landing on his hands as he walks across the ring to his corner on them before coming down to a crouching position as he waits for the last opponent.
"Thunder" by Imagine Dragons begins playing over the speakers as the lights go haywire. As the hook begins, Kader comes out onto the stage and jumps around, showing off his oiled chest, as well as his power. He roars out at the crowd.
Liam: Coming to the ring from West Hollywood, California by way of Bushehr, Iran, standing at 6'7" and weighing in at 297lb, he is... Kader Hasheem!!!
The crowd gives off a mixed reaction as Kader shouts out at them. He continues down the ramp, rubbing at his nose before flinging his baseball cap out into the crowd. He walks to the head of the ring and he grabs onto the top rope, bringing himself up onto the apron. He climbs in over the top rope before walking around the ring, gauging the crowd reaction. He comes to the center of the ring and lets out a monstrous roar. He then settles into the corner as the lights return to normal. He looks out to his opponents as each man sizes the other up.
Ding! Ding! Ding!
Arnaud: Aheuvo and Rory look to one another as they both charge at Kader. Kader slides out of the ring and yells at them to back up. Referee Jade Pham orders the two back, and they chuckle as they oblige. Kader reaches inside of the ring and pulls Ahuevo outside by the legs. He tosses him into the ring steps and then flexes his muscles as the fans boo him.
Nora: Kader challenges Rory to come outside, which he wastes no time in doing. He charges at Kader, who grabs Ahuevo as a shield, allowing Rory to nearly take his head off with a Clothesline. Kader grabs the back of his muscle shirt and swings him right into the ring post. He looks at Jade, who is to a three count. He picks Ahuevo up and rolls him inside of the ring. He picks Ahuevo up and Gorilla Press Slams him into Rory right as he stands up.
Arnaud: The audience really hates this guy right now, and he’s okay with it. He steps outside as he dismantles the ring steps. Jade shouts out at him, but he pays her no mind. He tosses the stairs at Rory, who catches them in mid-air! But Kader slams Ahuevo right into the steps, causing both men to fall to the mat. Kader points to his chest and then to his waist as he gets in the face of the camera.
Kader: It doesn’t matter who the champion is later tonight. That belt will soon be mine!
Nora: Kader rolls inside of the ring as he stands up, taunting the booing audience. Jade continues to count. She makes it to six when Aheuvo gets up to his feet. He slowly slides inside of the ring as Kader still has his back turned. The audience begins cheering as Kader turns around. Ahuevo hits a Dropkick that sends him into the ropes. As he comes back, Ahuevo Cartwheels forward and takes Kader down with a Headscissor Takedown.
Arnaud: Ahuevo hits a Standing Moonsault on Kader and hooks the leg.
1!
Arnaud: Rory dives inside of the ring and yanks Ahuevo’s leg to pull him off of Kader. He kneels over Kader and begins wailing away with punch after punch. Ahuevo connects with a Shining Wizard on Rory, and then a Springboard Leg Drop on Kader as he hooks each of their legs.
1!
2!
Kickout!
Nora: Rory gets his legs up, and Kader just seconds later. Ahuevo bounces off of the ropes, leaping up for his own version of a Superman Punch, but Rory catches him in mid-air, dropping him with a Double Handed Chokeslam. As he prepares to go for the pin, Kader is standing right in front of him. The two engage in a staredown, muttering trash talk to each other.
Arnaud: Fists fly as the two powerhouses wage war on one another. Kader and Rory are almost evenly matched at first, but the taller, stronger Kader backs Rory into a corner. Rory flies out with an attempted Clothesline From Hell that only causes Kader to stumble back a few feet. He comes off the ropes with his own Clothesline From Hell that floors Rory. Kader stomps around the entire ring, speaking in his native tongue as he yanks Ahuevo up from the mat. He begins doing a Helicopter Spin with Ahuevo, going as far as to knock him into Rory, sending him toppling through the ropes.
Nora: He lets Ahuevo skid across the mat, but Ahuevo rolls up to his feet. He stumbles forward a bit, but Kader spins out of the way. He catches Ahuevo and brings him over for a German Suplex, followed by another. One more and we just might see… Yes! The Thunder, with the bridging pin. It’s over.
1!
2!
3!
Ding! Ding! Ding!
Liam: Here is your winner… Kader Haaaaasheeeeeeeem!!!
Arnaud: Kader uses his foot to shove Ahuevo out of the ring, sending him under the bottom rope. He raises his arms in the air as he celebrates in style. The crowd cheers, causing Kader to look over to Ahuevo, and then to Rory. He doesn’t see it until it is too late!
Nora: “Shorty” Devin Tyler rolls inside of the ring and cranks his arm, wearing his signature red foam fist. Karma at it’s finest, Arnaud.
Arnaud: Kader steps back against the corner, charging forward for a low Shoulderbutt, but Shorty bends back, and catches Kader at the right time with the Dick Punch! Kader is now a resident of Dick Punch City!!!
Nora: The Dick Punch sends this crowd into a frenzy as Shorty raises his giant foam fist into the air, getting the fans riled up! Rory and Ahuevo roll inside of the ring to celebrate with Shorty, and the fans are loving it. Back to you, Marissa.
Marissa: Thank you, Nora. What an exciting match we just witnessed. The crowd is still going crazy behind us, and we are just minutes away from the start of Warzone. We’ve already discussed many of the great matches taking place tonight, but what about Dahlia Rotten versus Mercedes Vargas for the Honor Championship, in a No Disqualifications bout?
Sai: Honestly, Marissa, if this were six weeks ago, I would have said this match would fit better on an episode of Showdown, but these two have really impressed lately. Mercedes Vargas has been a very dominant champion, and most are not surprised by that. But, what is surprising is Dahlia Rotten.
Marissa: Why would you say that it’s so surprising to see Dahlia Rotten at this level? June 11th, 2017… Kingdom of Hawaii. Dahlia Rotten versus Courtney Leinhart versus Sam Tolson. Dahlia came within inches of winning the Honor Championship.
Sai: In no way am I trying to take that away from Dahlia. She is a fierce competitor who could easily take the championship and carry it with pride. But we’re talking about Mercedes Vargas, who has only lost one match, by disqualification, due to interference that she had no control over. Mercedes Vargas is damn near impossible.
Marissa: Near being the keyword. Dahlia is vicious, and she stands a great chance of playing up the No Disqualification stipulation of this match. As a matter of fact, it very well could even tip the balance in her favor.
Dr. Weaver: Dahlia Rotten is very capable of not only taking the title from Mercedes but putting her on the shelf temporarily. Rotten has the size and strength and ruthlessness to do just that.
Ryan: Mercedes has gone through a variety of grueling matches in her career, even as recently as in Sin City Wrestling. She can handle the brutality. I have to go with Sai on this one. Mercedes Vargas will retain.
Marissa: I have to go with Dahlia Rotten. I’d bet my next paycheck on it.
Sai: How can you say that when she’s taken out every bit of competition that has come her way since joining Honor. She defeated Tatsu Ikeda at Fallout in December, then defeated Winter just weeks later. No one has been able to defend the title more than she has.
Marissa: She has had an impressive streak, I will give her that. But, now that we are on the topic of Winter and Tatsu, these two tied for Rookie of the Year in 2017, and they have started 2018 off in very different places. Winter has been nearly unstoppable, while Tatsu just seems to fall short in each match she takes place in, including losing the contendership to face Mercedes. Yet, we find them both at each other’s throats.
Sai: It’s all about attitude, Tatsu tied for Rookie of the Year but to Winter, there was no tie, they just won it. Winter is not sharing it as a tie but rather it’s two winners. Call it not wanting to be of equal footing in her eyes as to me, it’s all the same. Winter refusing to be treated as an equal and instead is looking at herself as a big star. Tatsu is still trying to find her place on the roster and it is taking away from her talents. I feel if she just lets go she will see she is the next biggest star in Honor, she just has to see it herself.
Marissa: You can see it in her eyes, she has that fire, that passion, and that drive to perform well. And we’ve seen her go the distance. She was riding right alongside Mercedes for the record of longest undefeated streak up until tying with Eyesnsane for seven straight wins before losing. I believe that loss took away from her confidence. It was either that, or the betrayal by Winter. Her focus has not been there ever since Wrestle Bowl, and she desperately needs to rebound from that loss.
Ryan: Which will not be easy for her. I’m a Tatsu fan like everyone else, but one has to look at Jessie Salco as the next Legacy Champion. She has been on fire since joining and arrived here just days after winning a Battle Royal in which our very own Honor Champion Mercedes was a part of. She may be new in Honor, but do not sleep on how great she is.
Dr. Weaver: Jessie is great, I seen a lot of matches with her in it when I was The Elders personal traveling doctor, I spent plenty of time in SCW and I know she is capable of winning this whole thing. I also been here long enough to know that Alicia will be walking out tonight as champion. This may be strange but I have to go with Alicia in the main event with these four ladies. I will go on record and say, Jessie, Winter, and Tatsu have a better chance if it was just a one on one match but 4 women ladder match I am giving it to Alicia all day.
Marissa: You cannot discount Winter. She is a raging ball of charisma, and she is a reckless entertainer. Her madness has a method, and she very nearly defeated Mercedes, and that’s not even counting when she DID defeat Mercedes by disqualification because she has all but asked that the fact be stricken from the records. I would say that Winter stands the best chance of winning a match where the rules fly out of the window. Winter is my pick. Put that on the record.
Sai: This is a hard one for me. I have to go with Winter if her, friend, mentor, manager… whatever it is Delia Darling is to Winter gets involved in the match WInter has this won. If Delia stays in the back I don’t see Winter winning as I see Tatsu biting the bullet and not try to win this match by making sure Winters doesn’t win. It will be the best payback Tatsu can give Winter. Alicia has it all to win it but I’m not sure, Jessie has been really, really good. This is a hard one. I say, Winter, if Delia shows up, if not it's a toss-up.
Marissa: Speaking of our own Ms. Darling… She takes on Kate Steele later tonight. She’s gone on record as saying that she is not only unhappy with the booking, but she finds it disrespectful to her career, and an unwise use of her talents. She said this to my face on break during Pride. Thoughts?
Sai: I think she’s absolutely right. She has been a star in her career as soon as she wants to be one. She was hired in SCW as enhancement talent, much like NLW’s own Chanelle Martinez was. Yet Delia could not tone down her star power enough to be seen as anything but a Main Eventer. It’s a complete waste.
Ryan: Is it? I mean Delia has talent but Kate, shit, where do I start. Former Pride tag Team Champion, LAW triple crown holding the LAW World title, Marquee Title and Tag Team title. Do I even need to start with what she has done in SCW? The list goes on and on with what she has done.
Dr. Weaver: As much as I am not a fan of Darling, I do have to agree slightly with Sai. Delia has only held two titles in her career, but she made each one count. She brought life to the SCW Bombshell Division when they were resorting to giving shots to the legends, pushing their talents to the back of the line, all while Delia said “No cuts, bitch!” She brought attention to SCW in a way that no one else has. She could very well do the same thing for Honor if given half the chance.
Marissa: And throwing herself over the top rope during a battle royal to avoid having to compete in it doesn’t help her case
Sai: But it’s Kate unless you tell her the winner gets a title match I just don’t see Kate doing what she needs to beat Delia. Tell Kate that if she wins she gets a title shot and I bet Kate wipes the floor with Darling in less than 3 minutes hell under 2 minutes really.
Dr. Weaver: I can’t even agree with that. Where Kate likes to spread herself thin, competing in many companies at once, Delia is married to one company, and her devotion shines through. Whether her methods are the best, she promotes her company, and she draws people to it. If you want her to do that, then you need to put her higher up on the card. And that’s not even mentioning her skills. I recall her going from Chick Kicks and Hair Biels to shocking the world with the debut of her Pay-Per-View finisher, Le Bitch Bomb converted into the Cutie Special, so flawlessly. She has skill and passion, which are the two things that will easily cause her to mop the floor with Kate, instead of the other way around.
Ryan: I still think Kate will do what she needs to do to secure this.
Marissa: I hope she does because God help us all if Darling wins this. We’ll never hear the end of it… Can we please move on?
Sai: I take it you are not a fan of Delia Darling, Marissa?
Marissa: Not in the least. Besides, we have a Buried Alive match, and we’re wasting our time arguing over Delia versus Kate? What about Travis Blake versus Blasted Monk? You can’t tell me that this match doesn’t have the potential to actually steal the show. It’s a Buried Alive match!
Dr. Weaver: This match is by far the most dangerous on the card, second only to the Hell in a Cell match. Forget the fact that there are no disqualifications, but add into the equation the fact that these two men, who harbor such a hatred for one another right now, can only win the match and take home the Legacy Championship by burying the other man under six feet of soil?
Ryan: A match like this doesn’t really rely on a referee so much. It is strictly up to the competitors to decide the pace of the match and the outcome. We’re just here to ring the bells more or less.
Dr. Weaver: Excuse me. It’s funny timing, but I’ve just been informed that some X-Rays have arrived and I’m needed. It has been a pleasure, Ryan, Sai, Marissa.
Marissa: A pleasure as always, Dr. Weaver. Now, we are running out of time, so let’s get to the last topic of the evening. What match are you guys looking most forward to?
Ryan: Ladder Match. I’ll take the Ladder Match any day of the week. Any match that has Winter Elemental, Jessie Salco, and Alicia Lukas in it? I’m all for it. There’s a reason why it is the Main Event. You just can’t beat it.
Sai: Before this show, I would have given a different answer, but I’m sold on Delia Darling versus Kate Steele. I know it’s not what some would say is the most exciting, but you know it’s going to be action-packed. There’s a good chance that this match could steal the show. Delia is going to work hard, and Kate knows that she needs to gain momentum.
Marissa: On a show like this, it’s so hard to pick one, or even two or three matches. If I really, really had to pick one that makes me the most excited, I would have to go with the Buried Alive Match. With Travis having tapped out, and the referee actually calling for the bell, Blasted Monk, for a split second, would have been the champion, until he refused to release the submission hold. He could have been going into this match as the champion. This match has the highest amount of animosity of any match on the card, second only to Earl Lockyer versus Tim Staggs, which would be a very close second. But we are seconds away from the beginning of Honor Wrestling’s Warzone. I’m Marissa Henry, joined with Sai Basu and Ryan Richards, along with Dr. Weaver. Signing off!
**End of Pre-show. PPV Show to come soon.**
