Live Wednesday April 4th 2018, Showdown from the Philips Arena, in Atlanta, GA
Missy: The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, already in the ring, from Walnut Creek, CA, standing at 5’8” and weighing in at 127lb, she is… Char Kwan!!!
Char waves inside of the ring as she looks around to the adoring audience as “Fly (English Version” by Jessica Jung plays over the speakers. She walks around the ring to give the fans her attention.
Missy: And her opponent, from Paris, France, standing at 5’9” and weighing in at 130lb, she is… Delia Darling!!!
The lights in the arena dim down slightly as "Amazing" by Hi Fashion begins playing. Pink and white lights flash upon the stage as the curtains are shoved aside. The fans boo loudly as Delia Darling steps out, wearing a sparkling pink dress. She flips her hair back and smirks as she saunters half way down the ramp. She reaches down and tears away the bottom of the dress to reveal a one piece suit. She tosses the dress portion out into the crowd. She looks from side to side before she darts under the bottom rope. She slowly walks to the center before looking around. She pauses dramatically before striking a pose for the cameras flashing. She walks around the ring, standing on the turnbuckles to draw in boos from the fans. Once she's finished, she walks to the corner and stares at the stage, staring across the ring at Char Kwan.
Ding! Ding! Ding!
Lauren: Darling shows off more for the fans, after the bell rings, and Char jumps on her back, hooking her arm around Darling’s neck. She punches at Darling who shouts out painfully. Darling grunts as she flips her over onto the mat.
Oscar: She saunters around the ring, rubbing it in their faces once more. She gives a few stomps to Char for good measure. She points down to Char, laughing and smiling. She picks Char up by the hair. She shouts in her face as she yanks back.
Lauren: Delia tangles her other hand in Char’s hair and flips her over with a hair biel. She wrings the leftover hair out from between her fingers. As she looks down at Char, she measures her up as Char gets up to her hands and knees. Delia backs up a few steps. What does she have planned?
Oscar: Delia charges forward with a punt to the chin! The fans boo as she quickly picks Char back up. She sends her into the ropes, and as she comes back, Darling goes for a Back Body Drop, but Char does a Baseball Slide between Darling’s legs and then hits a throat punch.
Lauren: Char gets to her feet and hits a Running Bulldog. The crowd cheers as Delia crawls up into the corner, shaking out the cobwebs, but Char catches her with Calling Asia (Running boot to cornered opponent)!
Oscar: Char picks Delia up for a Snap Suplex, but Delia lands on her feet, bridging it into a pin with her power advantage. The referee counts.

Oscar: The crowd tries to get behind Char, and Char backs up inch by inch as she makes her way toward the ropes. Darling grounds her weight, trying to stop Char from moving, however unsuccessful she is.
Lauren: Darling backs up a few feet as Char tries to get her to budge. She is not going anywhere. Char leans forward, swiping at Delia, but Delia ducks from it. She wrenches the legs harder. As the crowd grows louder with support, Char flips the move over on Delia.
Crowd: *POP!*
Oscar: Delia quickly works her way out of the reversed leg lock, but Char climbs to the second rope. She dives off for the Japanese Air Strike (Tornado DDT) on Delia, but Delia does an extra spin and lands a Tilt-A-Whirl Slam.
Lauren: Delia picks her up and points to her as she boots her in the gut. She shoves Char’s head between her legs and lifts her up for Le Bitch Bomb, a Razor’s Edge Powerbomb into the turnbuckle!

Ding! Ding! Ding!
Missy: Here is your winner… Delia Darling!!!
Delia stands up from over Char, and she continues to stomp her. She uses her foot to shove Char to the outside of the ring to allow herself time to celebrate as “Amazing” by Hi Fashion plays over the speakers.
Backstage The Three-Way are preparing for their matches, Sarah is giving them match strategy.
Sarah: Dahlia, just pace yourself, Latoya is nothing you can easily beat her, so that a good start, Jessie Salco, is a veteran but unlike you I don’t she’s willing to do whatever it takes to win, Tatsu just snap her in half, prove to her the Kawaii Dragons are nothing compared to the three-way. As for the Alicia well she loves to go on about her title reign being 300 and whatever days, and her ego has grown so big that she feels invincible, I can’t think of a better way to deflate her ego that beating her in the middle of the ring.
Earl is finishing lacing his boot. Sarah turns her attention to Earl.
Sarah: And speaking of lacing boots, Tapido can’t lace yours, this guy has lost every time he wrestles, he no threat in this match whatsoever. Caleb, yeah that punk got a fluke win over you and I know you want to teach this kid a lesson, so do it, show this kid why you’ve lasted so long in this business, be ruthless. Eyesnsane you two know each other well, you’ve wrestled him more than once, you know he wants to win this match, just as badly as you do, you just gotta wanted it more.
A male voice is heard outside, Dahlia winks at Diego as he enters.
Diego: Hey got some time.
Earl: Yeah.
Diego: Earl, tonight you are competing for the last spot in the Warriors Brawl match, how are you feeling right now.
Earl: Diego, I feel more confident than ever, and after I win this match, Warriors Brawl is mine for the taking.
Diego: Dahlia, you have to run a gauntlet to win the Legacy Title, your fellow competitor seem to the underestimating you, thinking that being a larger woman you don’t have the stamina to last to the end.
Dahila: Trust me, stamina isn’t a problem, and if you don’t believe me just ask these two right here, Latoya is my warm-up, and I’ll run through Tatsu and that Salco chick with such beauty and brutality they won’t know what hit them, as for the champ, her ego has finally written a check she won’t be able to cash, tonight Alicia Lukas title reign come to a crashing halt, and the legacy title will be rotten to the core.
Diego: Thanks for your time.
“Trenches (Remix)” by Pop Evil ft DMC begins to play over the speakers as the fans cheer.
Missy: The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Richmond, VA standing at 6’6” and weighing in at 245lb, he is “Big Tiger”... Jeremiah Hardin!!!
Jeremiah and Diamond come to.the ramp as Trenches plays and Jeremiah roars as the lead singer screams. They come to the ring and Jeremiah lowers the ropes for Diamond. They come to the middle and Diamond rips the camo off of her fiancee and his wrestling gear is shown.
Missy: And his opponent, from Hana, Hawaii, standing at 6’3” and weighing in at 265lb, he is “The Tropical Storm”... Kai Kitiona!!!
The arena dims...the sound of thunder rolls from the PA System...clouds soar across the titantron and the arena lights begin a flicker. Anticipation builds when suddenly *CRACK* a bolt of lightning hits the stage entrance. “Hellraiser” trumpets throughout the stadium as Kai Kitiona appears out from behind the curtain. A serious tone painted across his chiseled features; his jaw tight with pent rage and eyes honed on the ring. Commencing a soldier’s march down the stage ramp, casually adjusting his wrist accessories. Once at ringside, he baseball slides into the ring, taking to the nearest turnbuckle from which he’d stand atop of with his fists clenched and raised high above his head like a ruler.
Ding! Ding! Ding!
Oscar: It’s strength versus strength, technicality versus technicality between these two men. Kai nods his head as he leaves his corner, and Hardin jogs in place as the fans anticipate what is to come.
Lauren: Kai raises his arm in the air for a test of strength, and Hardin obliges. They clasp hands together as they battle it out. Hardin gets the initial advantage as he begins to lean Kai back.
Oscar: But Hardin finds it’s not quite as easy as he thought when the smaller Kai uses his core strength to battle back to a vertical position. He tenses up his muscles completely as he starts to get the advantage.
Lauren: He leans Hardin back some, but Hardin lets out a roar as they he battles his way back up to an upright position. They try against one another, but neither gains the advantage. The crowd cheers Hardin on.
Oscar: However, Kai plants a knee to Hardin’s midsection. He plants Hardin on the mat with a Gutwrench Powerbomb, and hooks the legs.
One…
Two…
Kickout!
Crowd: *POP!*
Lauren: Hardin is a former Hardcore Tag Team Champion. His endurance will make it nearly impossible to put away so soon in the match. Kai stands up and gives Hardin a few stomps as he argues with the referee.
Oscar: The audience is booing this man and his arrogance. He goes to lift Hardin off of the mat, but Hardin brings him down with an Inside Cradle, hooking the leg.
One…
Tw-Kickout!
Lauren: Hardin had a point to prove, that he is nowhere near done yet. He gets up to his feet, milliseconds before Kai does, and he puts Kai back on the ground with a Clothesline. As Kai gets to his feet, Hardin nails another one. And another. And another!
Oscar: Hardin is on fire, and the fans are just loving it. Hardin goes to pick Kai up from the mat, but Kai trips him up, dumping him between the ropes and to the outside. He stomps around, working himself up as Hardin slowly gets back to his feet, holding the shoulder he landed on.
Lauren: Before he can turn around, Kai reaches through the ropes and grabs hold of his neck. He lifts up in a choking maneuver. Hardin kicks his feet as he tries to get control of the situation. He tries to pry Kai’s arms away, but he has no luck.
Oscar: Hardin is losing air quickly, the more he struggles. He reaches back, trying to grab hold of the ropes, but Kai begins thrashing as the referee reaches a count of 4 on Kai.

LET GO!
Lauren: Kai looks back to argue when Hardin drops down with a Guillotine on the second rope!
Crowd: *POP!*
Lauren: These two are leaving it all on the floor as they look to climb up the ladder to success. Hardin tries to catch his breath as the referee starts to count him out.
1…

3…
4…
Oscar: Hardin starts to pull his way onto the apron as the referee stops his count. He leans on the top rope to catch his breath for a moment, but Kai comes out of nowhere with the Career Killer (Spear) minus the stomping theatrics, as Hardin flies to the outside once more!
1…
2…
Lauren: Hardin is out cold as Kai watches his motionless demeanor outside of the ring.
3…
4…
5…
Oscar: Kai continues to watch Hardin like a hawk as the referee continues to count him out. The crowd begins shouting at Kai, and calling him names that I can’t even repeat on air. Kai shouts back at them as the referee continues his count.
6…
7…
Lauren: The audience gets to Kai as he quickly makes his way to the outside, breaking up the count. He lifts Hardin up and rolls him inside of the ring, and he quickly follows. He hooks the leg of Hardin to secure the win.
1…
2…
3!NO!Kickout!
Crowd: *MEGAPOP!*
Oscar: I’m in disbelief, as the audience roars for Hardin. Kai can’t even believe it. He lifts Hardin off of the mat and hits a Knife’s Edge Chop, taunting Hardin. He hits another as he continues taunting.
Lauren: He goes for a third, but Hardin hits one of his own! They begin trading chops, until Kai breaks it up with a punch. Hardin returns the favor as they go back and forth.
Oscar: Kai hits an eye poke and a knee to the gut to cover up his crime. As Hardin doubles over, Kai measures him up. He rushes across the ring with the Body Droppin (Superman Punch). He stomps around the ring arrogantly.
Lauren: As Hardin rises up, Kai hits the Career Killer once more, dramatic stomps and all! He falls down on top of Hardin, making sure to pin the shoulders down hard.
1…
2…
3…
Ding! Ding! Ding!
Missy: Here is your winner by pinfall… Kai Kitiona!!!
Kai rises to his feet regally as the referee raises his arm up high. He taunts the audience as “Hellraiser” by Motorhead plays over the speakers. The rain down boos upon him, but he doesn’t seem to care as he walks around the ring, pointing to each and every fan, and then pointing down to the motionless Jeremiah Hardin. He picks Hardin up from the mat and shoves him into the corner as he hits another Career Killer to Hardin. He gets down in his face and shouts insults at him as the referee tries to get him backed away. Finally, Kai gets up on his own terms and exits the ring, walking up the ramp backwards as he continues to mouth insults to Hardin.
We cut backstage as commotion is heard. Security is seen running down the hallway as the camera follows behind. They cut the corner to see Melissa, Debbi, and Stacy Ruin attacking one half of the Pride Tag Team Champions Winter.
Security break it up but the three sisters manages to break away from the two security guards. The three go back on the attack as Winter tries to get away. Melissa Grabs Winter by her hair as Stacy and Debbi catch up. The three slam Winter against the wall as security calls in for more help. The two guards rush the Ruin’s as the three kick Winter down to the ground.
Winter balls up and covers herself as that is all she can do at this point. Debbi grabs Winter’s legs so Stacy and Melissa can land clean kicks but more security arrives and separate the Ruin’s to gain control of the area.
Alana Allure steps out from behind the curtain with a microphone in hand wearing a grey skirt business suite with a white blouse and black shoes. After a moment not one but two figures come out behind her and are wearing black robes with hoods that cover their heads. The three of them make their way to the ring as “Band Up” by Alana Allure plays on the PA system. Alana walks up the stairs while the two figures climb up and onto the apron and then step into the ring.
Alana: As you all well know. I am Alana Allure a former champion and the single greatest manager in the wrestling business today. Really, it’s your pleasure and this time your applause are not required. Now, since we have found our way back to Atlanta and this city has managed to not found a way to collapse in on itself. I thought where better than here for the most Alluring stars in Honor to make a statement. So without further adieu, I give you the strongest woman in Honor wrestling and the number one contender to the Honor title, Mrs. Right!
The person standing on the left removes their hood revealing the face of Mrs. Right. As Alana turns to her and hands her the microphone.
Mrs. Right: That’s exactly right, because no matter what happens later on here tonight I am the number one contender. I am the one who fought my way through the other women on this roster to get this title match. What I will not be mistaken for is one of the other malcontents who had to try whatever they could to weasel their way into what should be a one on one match between myself and Mercedes Vargas. A match that should be the two of us putting everything on the line while thrilling the hell out of every person in a seat as well as all those who watch from home. I am ready for this fight I have been training for this fight and I am going to fight with everything I have deep down inside of me so that when the dust settles I will have my hand raised and all of you will have the right Honor champion.
There’s a bit of a mixed reaction from the crowd as Mrs. Right hands the microphone back to Alana.
Alana: And now I give you a legend, an icon in this business. A wrestler who’s reputation walks through the door before he does. The last Prestige champion and the first Honor champion and a person who has not lost the Hardcore tag title ladies and gentlemen, Eyesnsane!
Eyesnsane removes his hood as the crowd boo’s while Alana hands him the microphone. He looks around the arena until the crowd quiets down a bit.
Eyesnsane: Of course you realize I could care less what any of you think of me. I’m not here to make friends or to be role models for the children you breed into existence. My mission here is simple, you see all of you seem to have forgotten just who I am and what I am about. You all have forgotten the man who tore through the old roster. The man that reigned over the new roster. You all and I’m talking to all of you in the back also since most of you are so daft you need a clue. You all lost perspective on whose house this is. Honor is my house, I put Honor on my shoulders and it survived on my name and all of you took that for granted from Henry on down to the person who just signed up. Mark my words you all will pay what you owe. Suits and wrestlers alike. I don’t care where you come from or where else you call home, there are many wrestling companies out there but this one, Honor is mine! Oh but I’m not just here to say it. I intend to show each and every one of you with the fine fighting tool that is my perfect body. You all have been warned. That’s it, that’s all!
Eyesnsane drops the microphone as the three of them exit the ring while Alana Allure’s music plays again on the PA system as the crowd boos.
"Suck My Kiss" by Red Hot Chili Peppers plays over the speakers as we return to ringside.
Missy: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring first, from Santa Monica, CA standing at 5’11” and weighing in at 211, he is… Jack Haze!!!
Jack is standing in the ring, looking around at the audience as he is announced.
Missy: And his opponent, from Foshan, China, standing at 5’9” and weighing in at 165lb, he is the Hardcore tag Team Champion… Blasted Monk!!!
As Blasted Monks theme starts to play we see Monk walking down the ramp. A mix reaction is heard from the crowd as he makes his way to ringside. Monk gets in the ring and jumps on the top turn buckle. Monk is running on top of the top ropes, as he runs a lap around the ring from the top ropes. The fans cheer as he gets down and gets back in the ring.
Ding! Ding! Ding!
Oscar: The two walk to the middle of the ring and share a fist bump.
Lauren: This good, now how much respect will they have for each other after the match?
Oscar: We will see but for now they pace around the ring. Monk runs in and grabs Jack’s leg for a take down…
Lauren: Jack leans forward to not allow to be taken down. Monk holds on to Jack;s left leg as he gets underneath Jack to get a Ankle Lock but Jack turns his body and drops on his rear to kick Monk with his free leg to get Monk off of him.
Oscar: The two get up Monk takes two steps and jump up for a Jump Kick but misses as Jack ducks out the way. Monk hits Jack with a Stiff Kick to his right knee.
Lauren: Jack looks at his right knee then at Blasted Monk, Monk goes to grab Jack but Jack grabs Monk’s left arm for a Wrist Lock Kick Combination… Monk ducks then does a front roll to reverse the Wristlock. Monk lets go…
Oscar: Superkick by Monk, Jack goes down as Monk goes for the cover.
One…
Oscar: Jack powers out at one. Jack gets up but quickly ducks a Spinning Roundhouse Kick by Blasted Monk.
Lauren: Monk Kicks Jack in the mid section then hits the ropes…
Oscar: Monk bounces off the ropes going for a Crossbody but Jack counters hitting Blasted Monk right in the chest with the Pineapple Pinch!!! (Discus Punch)
Lauren: Jack goes for the cover.
One…
Two...
Lauren: The Hardcore Champ kicks out at two. The two get up and lock up. Jack sends Monk to the ropes. Monk bounces back and gets dropped with a Drop toe hold by Jack who now goes for a Headlock!
Oscar: The ref looks down as Monk waves him off. Monk hits Jack with his finger tips on Jack’s right forearm the grabs jack’s thumb and pulls back…
Lauren: Jack quickly realises the Headlock. Monk lets go of Jack’s thumb and then hits a Dropkick on jack.
Oscar: Monk now grabs Jack for a Suplex but Jack blocks it then lifts Blasted Monk up for a Delayed vertical suplex!
Lauren: Jack keeps him up… Jack drops Monk on the corner, Monk legs get wrapped up on the top turnbuckle in a tree of woe!!!
Oscar: This does not look good for Monk as Jack runs to the opposite corner! Jack runs at Monk as he lifts his body up as jack goes for a Spear and hits the middle turnbuckle hard. Monk frees his legs and does a back roll on top of jack to get to his feet.
Lauren: Jack holds on to the ropes to get himself up. Jack looks at Monk and rushes him… Monk goes for his Elders Kicks but Jack gets his hands up to block right on time!!!
Oscar: Jack drops his hands as they must clearly be in pain. Monk goes to Clothesline Jack but he ducks it. Jack now goes for a Clothesline but Monk ducks his… Blasted Slam!!! (Olympic Slam)
Lauren: Monk goes for the cover!
One…

Ding! Ding! Ding!
Missy: Your winner of this match... The Hardcore Tag Team Champion… Blasted Monk!!!
Blasted Monk theme song starts to play. Monk gets up, he helps Jack up and signals for them to smoke. The ref heads Blasted Monk his title. Monk holds the ropes for Jack Haze as the two walk up the ramp together.
We see Delia belittling the security team for there late reaction to stop a 3 on 1 attack on Winter.
Delia: How could you allow z’is to happen?
Ted: We got there as fast we we could.
Delia: But she is a champion, you idiot! She should have security following her No?!
Delia says very arrogantly.
Ted: It is not our job to babysit the champions it's our job to secure the safety of everyone.
Delia is appalled by the response.
Delia: We do not need babysitters! Z’e Kawaii Dragons are not children, z’ough z’ey do tend to act as such… Z’ey do not need you to be safe for z’ey are z’e champions. Z’e company can not afford for z’eir champions to get injured by sneak attacks, you… you.. FOOLS! MORONS! INGRATES!
Ted: My team got there as fast as they could.
Delia: Z’at is not good enough! Do you understand me?!
Ted: Well take that up with Ernest Jackson.
Ted walks away as Delia rolls her eyes and starts walking the opposite direction. Delia turns to her left and is met by the three Ruin Sisters.
Delia: Oh...
Stacy: Oh is right!
The Ruins grab Delia but she quickly escapes. The three give chase as Delia heads back to where she was just talking to security. Melissa throws a bottled water but misses Delia by about 4 feet to the left. The bottle flies across the hallway hitting Earl Lockyer in the head. Earl and Dahlia turn around as the Ruins disappear. Delia runs towards the The Three Way.
Dahila: You got guts throwing shit my by husband.
Delia: Z’at was z’ose awful Ruin bitches, you dumbass...
Delia turns around and sees no one behind her.
Delia: But, z’ey were just…
Delia turns around to face the Three Way as Dahlia grabs Delia and hits her with a Belly to Belly Suplex onto a table. Security finally comes around the corner but the Three Way walk away leaving Delia Darling on the ground. Security makes there way to the Three Way when we hear a loud thump.
Security turns around and finds all three ruins Sisters throwing chairs at Delia as she protects her face from getting hit. Security rush over t break it up as Delia removes the chairs from off of her. She gets up again belittling the security team.
Delia: Control z’ese bitches before I end z’eir careers for good!!!
Delia walks away holding her back in pain but not wanting to show it.
Showdown returns from the commercial break as the camera shows a live look of Philips Arena, the home floor of the NBA's Atlanta Hawks. We hear the voiceovers of Oscar and Lauren.
Oscar: Welcome back to Wednesday Night Showdown on WGN America. We're four weeks away from Turmoil and tonight Showdown stops in Hotlanta.
The camera now cuts to inside the arena and pans over the capacity crowd on hand for tonight's fallout show. We see many fans bringing homemade signs of their favorite Honor superstars.
Lauren: And we're also four weeks into the Honor Southeast tour, which continues at Pride Tag Team Wrestling on it's new night this Saturday in Miami. Can't wait.
A promotional graphic of Pride Tag Team Wrestling is shown for those watching at home. When we return live, the arena lights turn off and the crowd is hyped up for what was in store. As the opening of “Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me” by U2 blares across the PA system, the mood of the crowd changes instantly and the arena is under the subtle glowing of the lights. As the lyrics finally kick in, there is a slight delay before Mercedes Vargas steps out onto the stage, carrying her checklist in one hand, her Mayhem Survival trophy in the other and the Honor Championship around her waist.
Oscar: The Argentine Assassin is in the building!
Mercedes strikes a pose, raising her checklist and trophy in the air before she walks down the ramp with an air of superiority given the mixed reaction from the crowd that she doesn't even bother to be fazed.
Missy: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the Women's Honor Champion...Mercedes Vargas!
Lauren: Believe it or not, Mercedes survived three grueling weeks against "The Silver Screen Queen", Crystal Hilton, and lived to tell about it. Last Showdown in a tag team match with Mrs. Right against the Motor City Maidens, Mercedes extinguished any chance of defending her championship against Crystal by putting Stephanie Sullivan away to keep her unpinned streak intact.
As she gets to the apron, Mercedes throws up 2-6-6 with both hands before she picks up her trophy and checklist from off the canvas.
Oscar: An unpinned streak running for an unprecedented 266 days as she just reminded us just now. You wonder if that streak will be in jeopardy Saturday night at Pride, Lauren, when Mercedes and Alex Jones defends their world titles against "The Siren" Kate Steele and Mickey Carroll.
Lauren: Mercedes and Alex aren't the most defending and longest reigning champions for no reason. They haven't met a challenged they didn't like and they both know what's at stake. Kate and Mickey want a challenge, they will get one this weekend in Miami.
Mercedes is already in the ring as she is handed a microphone from a stagehand. As soon as her entrance music dies down in queue with the lights returning to normal, she raises her sunglasses above her head to take in the scene.
Oscar: What's on the mind of the Honor Champion? We're about to find out.
Mercedes raises her microphone to speak.
Mercedes: So...um...LOL Mercy wins!
The crowd erupt in boos, leaving her puzzled at their reaction. She raises a hand to placate the crowd.
Mercedes: Atlanta, Georgia. I want you to look at what success looks like, because your local sports team sure haven't been.
The crowd boos.
Mercedes: Tonight, I can finally breath a sigh of relief.
Mercedes does this literally, wiping a hand across her forehead.
Mercedes: I can breath a sigh of relief because last Showdown was the third and last time you'll ever see me in another match with Crystal Hilton again. The last time you will ever see "Crystal Hilton" and "Honor Championship match" on a programme. And the last time Crystal ever thinks about talking her way into another match with me again. You think I care that she's getting a Hardcore Tag Title match with Stephanie at Pride this weekend? That's as far as she's ever going to go here in this company as long as Alicia and I hold the singles titles. Let Chrissie and Stephie have fun. Even if they were to win, all they'll really prove is anyone can be tag team champion.
An audible oooh sounds through the crowd.
Mercedes: So now that Crystal is out of my hair for good, the question everyone is wondering isn't who's next, but who's left? Who's left in the women's division that I have completely dominated since coming through the door here in Honor? I said I was going to be a fighting champion, and I'm lived up to it, unlike the paycheck bitch who last held this title and is long forgotten. Now, I promised that I would choose an opponent to put my title on the line at the next Showdown in Birmingham, Alabama. Because I do plan on leaving Pride Saturday night, and still. While it took some thinking, I have come up with a perfect opponent. Someone who I have never faced, at least one on one, and she is, for the most part, a successful champion. Ladies and gentleman, I give you my handpicked opponent in two weeks....
Mercedes points at the HonorTron as the reveal is about to take place. A drumroll from the production truck sounds throughout the arena. Everyone waits with anticipation.
Oscar: Who will get their golden opportunity in two weeks in Birmingham? The moment of truth awaits.
After some time, the HonorTron comes to life and it reveals Mercedes's opponent to be...
Oscar: It's Jordan Monroe, one-third of the Boss Ladies! Jordan gets her shot at Mercedes Vargas in two weeks in Birmingham in her first-ever world title match!
Lauren: Never let it be said that Mercedes hides from challengers.
Mercedes holds up her hand as Jordan Monroe's entrance theme fades.
Mercedes: Jordan Monroe, tonight's your lucky night. I'll see you at Showdown, sweetie.
She raises her championship overhead as she stares at the camera, just as determined as ever.
Mercedes: Y que la suerte está siempre en su favor.
And may the odds be ever in your favor.
With that, Mercedes's theme cues in and she promptly leaves the ring by way of the steel steps. She retrieves her trophy and checklist and starts to walk back up the ramp, but not before revealing her updated checklist. The camera gets in a close up shot of the list as we see Crystal's name with four lines drawn through it while Kate Steele already has three. Jordan's name has just been added with two question marks next to it. Mercedes again poses with her trophy and checklist, then raises her title in the air as the scene fades elsewhere.
The cameras move backstage to find Kader Hasheem standing in front of a monitor. The crowd boos as he rubs his hands together. He sees a view of ringside in front of him as the fans are getting pumped up for the Warrior’s Brawl qualifier. Just then, Kevin Whitfield approaches him, microphone in hand.
Kevin: Kader Hasheem… I figured I would find you here.
Kader: You figured right, Kevin. I wanted to get a front row view of the match, but with the outrageous attacks this evening, the Head of Security has banned me from ringside. I am insulted. Do people actually think that I would want to interfere in this match?
Kevin: You have to admit, it’s not outside of the realm of possibility. You are guaranteed one of few named spots in the Warrior’s Brawl match as per your contract signing.
Kader: Look, Kevin. I know we are in America, and this is the sort of thing that American’s like to do, attacking one another to gain some sort of upper hand, or to make a statement, but this is not my style. I am a man of prestige. I do not want to go into a title match that I am destined to win, being the guy who went around attacking everybody. It’s no secret that the fans don’t like me, because I speak the truth regardless of who gets mad, but that is cookie cutter heel stuff right there. I am anything but cookie cutter or right out of the box. Look at me. I’m sculpted like a Greek God. I was designed to be different, and I will not stoop to such low levels as to attack my opponents. Besides, they have over a month to recuperate before the match even takes place.
Kader laughs at the absurdity of it all.
Kader: I refuse to blend in, because blending in is not the way to get noticed. If I blended in, I would not have been the first Northern Lights wrestler to get called up to Honor Wrestling. I know I sound like a broken record, but it is amazing how quickly people seem to forget that fact.
Kevin: I can’t say that I agree with everything that you’re saying, but I certainly understand your logic.
Kader: Yes, and what better way to do my research than to watch the man with the biggest advantage take down three other competitors. When I am still in the match once he enters, I will need to be prepared for what Earl Lockyer, Caleb Storms, Eyesnsane, or Tapido Delavega can bring to the match. If I cannot be at ringside, then I will study them right here.
