Canadian Forces Base Kingston, Kingston, Ontario, Canada
Supernova live July 14 2018
The camera comes in to spot the local members of the Royal Canadian Air Force, causing a loud chorus of cheers from those in attendance. As we pan across further, members of the Royal Canadian Navy are seen, gaining an equally large pop from the audience. Various branches of the Canadian Army are seen with their families, in full uniform, before making their way to several troops of Cadets in training. A few fireworks pop off for each unit as we pass around. Moments later, the lights begin to dim, leaving us in the twilight glow of the evening. A spotlight comes on in the center of the ring as Liam Gagnon is seen standing underneath it in his own Canadian military uniform, gaining a pop of his own. He smiles as he waves to his branch of military before raising the microphone to his lips.
Liam: Llllllllllllllllllllladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, chilllllldren of all ages. It is my honor to open the evening up with the first ever Northern Lights Wrestling Supernova Pay-Per-View, live from the Canadian Armed Forces Base in Kingston, Ontario, Canada!!!
Crowd: *Mega POP!!!*
Liam: And, singing our national anthem… It is my great honor to welcome former Hardcore and Pride Tag Team Champion… Winterrrrrrr Elemennnnntalllllllllll!!!
The stage lights up with Winter Elemental, holding a microphone in hand. The Tron flickers on behind her with the Canadian flag waving softly. Slowly, the music starts off as members of the Kingston Symphony Orchestra file out and take seats behind her to step in over the piano to her left. She takes a deep breath as she looks out into the audience.
Winter:: O Canada! Terre de nos aïeux,
Ton front est ceint de fleurons glorieux!
Car ton bras sait porter l'épée,
Il sait porter la croix!
There is an unknown depth to her voice as she lets a smile creep across her face. She begins to walk across the stage, bringing the camera with her to give exposure to each member of the orchestra.
Winter:: Ton histoire est une épopée
Des plus brillants exploits.
Et ta valeur, de foi trempée,
Protègera nos foyers et nos droits.
Protègera nos foyers et nos droits.
Winter belts it out for a moment, stopping atop the ramp.
Winter walks over to the piano and rests on it for a moment as she continues on.
Winter:: De son patron, précurseur du vrai Dieu,
Il porte au front l'auréole de feu.
Ennemi de la tyrannie Mais plein de loyauté.
Il veut garder dans l'harmonie,
Sa fière liberté;
Et par l'effort de son génie,
Sur notre sol asseoir la vérité.
Sur notre sol asseoir la vérité.
Winter stands up on top of the piano as she belts out the final verse with surprising emotion, and a light rasp to soften it for just one moment.
Winter:: Amour sacré du trône et de l'autel,
Remplis nos cœurs de ton souffle immortel!
Parmi les races étrangères,
Notre guide est la loi;
Sachons être un peuple de frères,
Sous le joug de la foi.
Et répétons, comme nos pères
Le cri vainqueur: Pour le Christ et le roi,
Le cri vainqueur: Pour le Christ et le roi.
Winter finishes up as the audience goes crazy with applause. She looks around at the crowd with a half smile before she is assisted down from the piano. She joins the Kingston Symphony Orchestra with a bow as roses are thrown up onto the stage. She sets the microphone down on the piano as she and the orchestra file to the back slowly. We go back to Liam in the center of the ring as the lights return to normal.
Liam: Please join me in welcoming our announce team for the evening, Arnaud and Nora Nadeau!!!
The crowd puts their hands together as Nora and Arnaud gain focus on the announcers table at ringside. They wave to the crowd as they put their headsets on.
Liam: And joining them is your host for this evening… Dorian B!!!
The crowd cheers as Dorian is seen sitting next to them with a headset on. He shakes hands with Nora, and then Arnaud as they each adjust themselves in their chairs as their sound comes on.
Dorian: Welcome to Northern Lights Wrestling Presents Avalanche, y’all. We got a stacked card with some of the best wrestlin’ skills across the entire industry, packed into one place. This really is the most kickin’ place to spend this Saturday Night.
Arnaud: And with a great sight in front of us, I couldn’t imagine but one way better to spend it.
Nora: Ahem… Dorian is not wrong. Part One alone has four matches that are worthy of Match of the Year nominations.
Dorian: Kickin’ things off with Steven Styles, a man I’ve met in the ring personally. He ain’t no joke, bo. He gets to break in the debuting August Frost. I heard great things about August, and I can only imagine this match is gonna get us off to a hot and heavy start.
Arnaud: Do go on…
Nora: Chris Salem signed his Honor Wrestling contract several weeks ago, and he’s waited patiently for his chance to debut. Tonight is that night, but what better way to kick things off than against the one… the only… “Big Match” John Blade?
Arnaud: Chris will have his work cut out, because John has been on a roll lately.
Dorian: Got that right, bo… Ladies heat up the action when Latoya Hixx welcomes back Courtney Leinart-Steele, but dat Goddess Chick never goes down easy. Former 2 time Hardcore Tag Team Champion for a reason. But, Courtney Leinart-Steele. All ya need to say firreal.
Nora: And closing up part one of the show, we got a Triple Threat, featuring Ahuevo, Mz Holly Wood, and Drew Masters. This match could go either way, truly. All three are talented. Drew and Holly are looking for their break in NLW, while Ahuevo had a taste of the limelight, and he’s proved he can hold it up.
Arnaud: Very valid points. Now, let’s discuss these matches a bit. We’ve seen Steven Styles. We know he has what it takes to hang in there with the rest of the NLW roster, but August Frost… he’s truly a wildcard. He could is under a tremendous amount of pressure tonight.
Dorian: I can’t lie, Arnaud. I never seen the kid fight before. I did get to see him during training just a few weeks ago, and he got skills. But you right. He is under so much pressure right now. Debuting in a company is always hard, but he so young. It’s make or break time. It’s hard to say who I think will win, but I’m gonna go with what I already know and say Steven Styles.
Nora: I have to agree. Steven has a win under his belt, and he’s come so close to other wins.
Arnaud: I hate to count anybody out, so I’m going to have to go against the grain and say August Frost surprises us. Call it a gut feeling. Now, John Blade versus whomever. I always go with John Blade.
Nora: I can’t fight that logic. John Blade is known as Big Match John for a reason. Chris Salem is unknown to me, and to the entire Honor Wrestling Universe.
Dorian: I mean, I agree. Chris Salem could be amazin’ but John Blade is amazin’, and he got his girl lookin’ out for him, in Chanelle Martinez. John Blade is a boy scout, but Chanelle ain’t after no brownie points, sho nuff. A real woman will fight for her man, and Chanelle is 110% woman. She ain’t booked tonight, so she gonna make her presence known. Callin’ it now. So what we thinkin’ on Latoya Hixx against Courtney Leinart-Steele?
Nora: Like you said before, Courtney Leinart-Steele. There is no need to say more. She has a track record that is extremely impressive, from all over the wrestling world. Hands down.
Arnaud: But, Dori also said Latoya is a former 2 time Hardcore Tag Team Champion. She is tough. I gotta vote for Latoya on this one. Tonight is a night of surprises, honey. Mark my words.
Dorian: I’m split, but Imma go with Nora. Girl carries around a barbed wire bat with pink leopard print. She down to business. Now, I got some interest in this Triple Threat mini Main Event. I got opinions, but I’m keepin’em to myself. I wanna hear what y’all got to say about it.
Nora: Ohhh, this one is so hard to nail down. It’s completely down to luck, I think. Drew has the luck of the Irish on his side. That’s the only logic I can go with here because they are all equally talented.
Arnaud: I agree with the latter, but “luck”? Really? There is no luck in this sport. It’s all about seizing opportunities by being aware enough to spot them from a mile away. Ahuevo has already proven that he can take any situation by the horns.
Dorian: Except two weeks ago, bo…
Nora: I think that was a little salty, Dorian…
Dorian: Okay, Imma just say it. I beat Ahuevo less than two weeks ago now. He got a match tonight, and I don’t. I love bein’ the host of the evening, but I ain’t come to NLW to be a host. I came to fight. No disrespect to anyone who got a spot on this card, because I got mad respect for each and every one of you except maybe Angel Kash. I just had to get that off my chest. But I still ain’t picking a winner, though.
The crowd cheers around Dorian as he shrugs his shoulders. Nora and Arnaud are smiling at Dorian’s complete honesty, and his own almost cheerful pearly smile. Dorian sighs as he stands up from the table and looks out into the audience.
Dorian: It’s been great sittin’ out here with the announce team. Nora, Arnaud, y’all are fun as hell, but I’m ready to give this shit the official kick off. What y’all say we get right to the action, bo?!?
Crowd: Yes! Yes! Get it started *clap* Get it started *clap*
Dorian nods his head as he removes his headset and places it on the table. He raises his hands along with the cheers and chants along with them as he walks around the ring and toward the ramp.
The lights fade to black as drums begin pounding out. With the rhythm, blue lights begin flickering in time to the beat. On the titantron, we see a silhouette of a man walking in place to the beat. The drums get louder and more rambunctious as the lights flicker faster. The lights flicker to an almost maniac pace as the tension builds until we hear the yell of Roger Daltrey of The Who:
As the music explodes, the word FROST appears on the titantron. The lights come on the stage and we see August Frost come out onto the ramp. He raises his arms in the air and walks slowly down the ramp, chewing gum with a smirk on his face. He slaps some hands on the way down to the ring.
Liam: The following contest is scheduled for one fall… Introducing first, from Halifax, Nova Scotia, standing at 5’8” and weighing in at 210lb, he is…”The Chocolate and Vanilla Thrilla”... Auuugust Frosssssst!!!
“I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again”
August gets in the ring and jumps up to the top rope, and raises his hands in the air, taking in the crowd.
Lights Go Out As Intro Six foot five and lonely
Dressed in spaghetti rags,Standing at the bus stop
With her alligator bags, What can you do? No, no, no,
What can I do I better see a doctor Cause I think I'm getting hooked on you
I ain't much for talkin'
But all I got to say is
Here I am
Liam: Making his way to the ring, wrestling out of Wilmington, Delaware… Steven Styles!!
“Close your eyes and I'll be Superman” lyrics plays as Steven Styles and Selena hit the Entrance Ramp as he has his right hand in the air to point to the crowd. He comes down slapping five with fans on his way to the ring. He runs and slides in under the bottom rope as Selena follow Styles. She hops up on ring apron and enters in under the bottom rope.
Ding! Ding! Ding!
Arnaud: We kick off the evening with the debut of August Frost, matching up against Steven Styles in a battle of High Flyers.
Nora: Steven goes for a Pele Kick, but Frost side spins out of the way, and as Steven rises back to his feet, Frost comes bouncing off of the ropes with a Springboard Back Elbow.
Arnaud: Steven jumps over Frost and jumps up to the top rope. He springs off with a Crossbody, but August dives out of the way, causing Steven to connect with the mat.
Nora: Steven gets to his feet, but Frost grabs his arm and flips backward to wrench the arm. He then runs up the turnbuckle and walks across the top rope.
Arnaud: All of this before jumping off into a Hurricanrana, hooking the legs for the pin. Ryan Richards drops for the count.
Nora: Steven bucks up and reverses the pin on Frost, but Frost is quick to roll back and into the ropes. He rushes forward with a Dropkick to the face of Styles.
Arnaud: He picks Steven off of the mat and goes to send him into the ropes, but Steven reverses it. As Frost comes back, he’s met with a Back Body Drop.
Nora: But he catches onto the top rope and flips himself up, taking hold of Steven’s neck and dragging him to the outside of the ring.
Arnaud: Frost holds onto the apron and rolls back inside of the ring. He breathes heavily as he rushes toward the opposite ropes. He cartwheels off of it, drawing in cheers from the audience.
Nora: He bounces off of the ropes and then rushes toward Steven, a Diving Plancha to the outside of the ring, and the crowd is on their feet for this opening contest.
Crowd: Holy shit! Holy shit! Holy shit!
Arnaud: I can’t help but agree with them. It is an impressive debut by August Frost. Both men are down as Dylan Roberts begins his count.
Nora: Steven gets to his feet first, but he’s feeling it as he holds onto his stomach and stumbles around the outside a bit.
Arnaud: Frost gets to his feet next. He shakes off the damage he’s taken as he climbs onto the narrow metal barricades. He balances himself as he rushes forward.
Nora: Frost rushes across the barricade and dives off with a Somersault Leg Drop to a hunched over Steven Styles.
Arnaud: Frost gets to his feet and rolls inside of the ring. He goes to roll back out, only to see Styles coming inside of the ring to break up the count.
Nora: Styles begins stomping the downed Frost, holding himself up by the top rope. He nudges Frost to the apron, but Frost won’t fall.
Arnaud: Styles goes toward the ropes, but Frost enters the ring and as Steven returns toward him, he is met with Hell From Halifax (Blue Thunder Bomb)!
Nora: Frost stomps over to the nearest corner. Frost Bite (Shooting Star Leg Drop)!!! Frost hooks the leg!
Ding! Ding! Ding!

John Blade’s music begins to play as he walks out on stage. He talks to the camera man and bounces a little. He holds up his “Never Give Up” logo flag and tosses it to the fans. He salutes and runs straight down towards the ring. He bounces off the ropes side to side and he holds up his “Hustle, Loyalty, and Respect” shirt. He takes off his hat and tosses his shirt to the fans and hands his Chain to the ref to begin to fight.
Liam: Aaaaand his opponent, from Colorado Springs, Colorado, weighing in at 233lb and standing at 6’3” he is… Chrrrrrrris SAAAAAAAALEMMM!!!
Napoleon by Kyshera hits the airwaves as the lights fade to black. The cameras lower close to the stage when the stage fills with smoke. Moments later, a pair of legs walk into the scene then the camera fades up as you see the face of 'The World Wide Mecca' Chris Salem. He signals for the camera to rise up but as he does, he pushes the camera aside and walks down the aisle. At ringside, Chris, he makes his way onto the apron then climbs through the ropes. After he taunts the crowd, he signals for the pa system to cut his music and on cue, the music fades as does the smoke.
Ding! Ding! Ding!
Arnaud: Well it seems as though John is off to a quick start hitting a European uppercut. Chris staggers backward a bit as John runs at him hitting a leaping clothesline. John gives some assistance to Chris to get him up and hits a jawbreaker.
Nora: Chris gets right back to his feet. John hits a Leaping Clothesline. John now runs to the ropes and does a Springboard Leg Drop o Chris. John Follows that up with a running neck snap, John foes for a cover.

"The Beautiful People" hits across the PA system as Courtney Leinart-Steele stands at the top of the ramp holding her leopard print barb wired bat across her shoulder as she makes her way to the ring while some of the fans boo her and others cheer for her. She flashes all the fans a smirk as she teases some of them by tempting to shake their hands but only to walk away casually and up the steel steps and into the ring. She stands in the middle of the ring holding the bat high up in the air as her song fades in the back.
Liam: And her opponent… From Toronto, Ontario, standing at 5’5” and weighing in at 114lb, she is… “The Boss” Latoya Hixx!!!

He vaults over the top rope and comes to the center of the ring as he bangs his head to to music, jiving more.
Liam: Aaaaand his opponent… From West Hollywood, CA standing at 5’8” and weighing in at 165lb, she is… Mz Holly Woooooooooooooood!!!
"Hollywood" by Collective blasts over the sound system as a pink shadow box appears through the curtains. The silhouette of a lovely lady dancing is seen from the inside, seducing the crowd with her feminine wiles. It comes to rest at the edge of the stage, and after a moment, the lady inside kicks her way through the thin paper to reveal... Holly Wood! Mz. Wood if you nasty. She flips her blonde hair over her shoulder as she raises her arms in the air, loosening her hips before sashaying down the ramp. She climbs onto the apron, swaying her hips back and forth as she lowers herself down into a split position. She crawls under the ropes and does a sexy pose on the mat before leaping up, dancing around the ring to the music as she waits for her other opponent.
Liam: And their opponent, from South of the Border, standing at 5’8” and weighing in at 177lb, he is “Senor Hell Yeah”... Ahhhhhhuuuuuuuuevoooooooooo!!!
“Sueltate y Toma” by Reggae Black begins playing over the speakers when a red light shines from behind the curtains. As they open, the figure of Ahuevo is seen standing there. He bounces around to the beat of the music. He charges down the ramp, and as he makes it to the ring, he leaps through with a somersault, kneeling on one knee in the ring. He looks out to the crowd, pointing across them all in a circle. He then runs up the turnbuckle and does a flip off of it, landing on his hands as he walks across the ring to his corner on them before coming down to a crouching position as he waits for the match to start, while sizing up his opponents.
Lights go down low as "The Hills" by The Weeknd bounces through the speakers in a seductive tone and Dorian Brown comes out in a brown leather biker jacket and matching pants. He has a bar of chocolate in his hand and he bites a piece off the tip before handing it to a fan along the aisle. He swerves them hips before he rips off the pants to show off his silky tights that have chocolate bar brick prints over it. He loses the jacket to show off his body, moving hands up and down stomach and chest.
Liam: Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for the Memphis native weighting in at 224lb and standing at 6'1 he is Dorian Brown!!!
Dorian comes to the ring as he gets on the apron. He puts one leg through the ropes and stops to swerve his hips again but with more power this time. He comes inside that ring and drops to his hands and knees as he moves across the ring seductive until he gets in the corner. He stands up and lick his lips as he watches the audience fall under his spell.
Nora: What is Dorian B doing out here? He’s not scheduled in this match.
Dorian turns around and accepts a microphone from Liam before looking to each of the three corners with the competitors of the match, shrugging his shoulders.
Dorian: Hey boys, and one fine female specimen... Y’all afraid of a little competition, or what? Lookin’ a little surprised over there.
Arnaud: I don’t think those three are the only ones confused.
Dorian: Lemme ask y’all a simple question. Two is fun, three is more fun, but four’s a damn party. What do y’all fans think of Dori B steppin’ off the sidelines and getting into some action, right here, right now?!
Crowd: Hell yeah! Hell yeah! Hell yeah!
Dorian looks around to the other three competitors as they slowly begin to nod their heads as they look to one another. They all agree on it, and Referee Dylan Roberts agrees to it.
Dorian: Y’all might wanna find a new host for the evening, cause this country boy is much more comfortable gettin’ his hands dirty…
Liam: The following contest is an Elimination Fatal Four Way!
Dorian begins to grind his hips as he slips his hands down his chest and stomach, toward a very tempting spot before the bell rings.
Ding! Ding! Ding!
Nora: Right out of the gate, Dorian drops the seductive act as he charges right for Drew. hey trade blows back and forth until Drew is backed up against the ropes.
Arnaud: Holly uses the distraction to nail a Chick Kick to Ahuevo. She leans down and does a Handstand Knee Attack, one after another. She stops about four and then drops down for the pin.
Nora: Ahuevo gets a shoulder up before Drew or Dorian can react. Drew is sent across the ring and as he rebounds, Dorian catches him with a Wheelbarrow Bulldog.
Arnaud: Holly pulls Ahuevo up to his feet and sends him into the corner. As she charges at him with a Handspring Back Elbow, Ahuevo moves out of the way and runs across the ring.
Nora: As Ahuevo charges at Holly, he jumps up and nails a Monkey Flip. He jumps off of the top turnbuckle, nailing a Moonsault Leg Drop, hooking the leg.
Arnaud: Dorian receives a stiff punch to the face before being sent into the ropes. Dorian tries to reverse it into a Clothesline, but Drew leans back to avoid it.
Nora: Drew Leapfrogs over Dorian and onto the apron. As Dorian stops himself and turns around, Drew comes over the top rope with a Vaulting Cross Body for the cover.
Arnaud: Dorian slides out from underneath Drew. As both men rise, they receive stereo Dropkicks from Holly and Ahuevo.
Nora: Holly turns and shakes hands with Ahuevo, but as soon as they shake hands, Holly grabs Ahuevo’s face and nails a Breast Smother! Ahuevo bats at his face as he stumbles away.
Arnaud: Holly comes off of the top rope, jumping over Ahuevo, and landing on top of Drew Masters with the Sashay Away (Shooting Stars Press)!
Liam: Drew Masters has been eliminated!
Nora: Holly holds onto her ribs as she stumbles back to her feet. Dorian is right there to meet her with a Dropkick in return, sending her into the corner.
Arnaud: Ahuevo stands up, and he gets one for good measure, sending him into the corner. Dorian darts across the ring, hitting a Bronco Buster to Holly, making sure to grind his groin in her face.
Nora: Dorian darts across the ring and hits the Bronco Buster to Ahuevo, grinding his groin in Ahuevo’s face. Once he finishes, he stands up and looks at each opponent. He hits a Hip Attack on Holly. He drops down for the pin.
Arnaud: Waiting for an elimination that never comes, Ahuevo dives off of the top rope with a Frog Splash to both Dorian and Holly. Dorian slips out from underneath them as he crawls across the mat, holding onto his back, but Ahuevo hooks the leg.
Nora: Ahuevo pounds the mat in frustration. He picks up Holly from the mat, only to receive a Jawbreaker. Holly leaps onto the top rope and does a Tight Rope Clothesline.
Arnaud: She hooks the leg as Dorian dog piles on top, scooting his feet rapidly across the floor during the count!
Liam: Ahuevo has been eliminated!
Nora: As Holly gets up to her feet, Dorian lifts her up with relative ease into the Hershey Bomb (Stalling Sitout Powerbomb)!!! He leans over, pinning both of Holly’s legs to her chest.
Ding! Ding! Ding!
Liam: Holly Wood has been eliminated! Therefore, here is your winner… Dorrrrrrrrrrrrrrian B!!!
The crowd is on fire as our host for the evening raises his hands in the air, taking a deep breath as he almost cannot believe it. He allows Dylan Roberts to hold his hand up in victory as he nods his head before licking at his lips playfully, looking out into the audience as he begins to feel himself to “The Hills” playing over the speakers. Holly slowly rises from the mat and stares over at him. Holly glares as she catches her breath. She picks up his hand and raises it in victory. Drew rolls inside to do the same on the other side. They nod their heads as they look around. They look out to Ahuevo, trying to encourage him to come inside. Hesitantly, he rolls back inside.
Ahuevo gives Dorian a handshake. However, he blows powder into his face! The crowd is shocked as he Dropkicks Dorian into the other three. The crowd begins booing loudly as Ahuevo steps outside. He pulls a chair out from under the ring. He slides back inside as he shouts out at the audience. He charges forward, nailing a Dropkick into the chair to Dorian’s face. As Dorian falls down, Ahuevo slams the chair into Holly’s face, busting open the infamous female impersonator. As she falls down and rolls outside, Drew drops down to the mat, and Ahuevo hits a Springboard Leg Drop on top of the chair to Drew.
Ahuevo smiles widely through his mask as he throws the chair down to the mat. He shakes his head as he waves the audience off. “Sueltate y Toma” begins playing as security rushes down the ramp, ready to accost Ahuevo, but he’s done his damage and he leaves on his own, shaking off their arms.
(Part 2 coming soon...)
