The company began to come about in early June 2016 when Majority owner Zack Goldman was interested in purchasing another wrestling organization however things didn't pan out but because he loved the sport of wrestling he decided to invest some of his own money into making his own wrestling promotion. He sought out two more investors who invested in his idea and put faith in him running the company. Although we know nothing about the current investors we are assuming they are with money as they have forked a lot of it into the start up company known as Honor Wrestling. Let alone, securing a television deal for a wrestling company that has yet to air on a major network. Honor Wrestling's first TV show is on July 20th live from Las Vegas, Nevada as they present ShowDown.
in July 2016 Honor Wrestling began to make their signing public and signed some top names out of the gate such as Elena DeDraca, Alex Jones, JMC & Samantha Tolson. They soon hired former VWS Owner Ana Valentine-Jones as their Vice President Of Talent Relations. Honor Wrestling is very proud that they have a strong men's division as well as a women's division with separate championships per side for each respected roster to compete over.
In October 2016 Honor Wrestling along with companies under the Honor Wrestling umbrella Legacy Wrestling & PRIDE had ceased operations. On November 18th, rumors began to swirl about a January 2017 return of Honor those rumors were addressed by Eric Goldman himself when he said the company would be indeed returning but will be staying on the East coast as he was moving his headquarters to New York City. In addition Goldman offered everyone back their job including the champions who would be allowed to return as champions. Their first event back is rumored to be scheduled in December 2016.
As of April 15 2017 75% of Honor Wrestling was sold to Henry Saxon for 2.5 million dollars. Zack Goldman will keep 25% of the ownership along with the rights to the name. Majority Ownership and day to day operations will be handed by the Saxon group.
